We finally make it to the Chateau. "There she is." John B sighs, in awe.

"Welcome home, guys." JJ smiles and wraps an arm over me.

We quickly tied up the boat and headed up the dock. "You know, I gotta be honest, not exactly looking forward to a check-in at home." Kiara reminds me of the state she left her family in, not good. "My parents probably already arranged my funeral."

"I also predict unpleasantries at the Heyward household," Pope adds. "After I left the truck in Charleston."

That's when JJ's eyes widen, uh-oh. "No one knows we're here, right?" He looks around at the group. "And, you two aren't going to get into any more trouble for showing up 12 hours later." Pope and Kiara exchange a glance. "Am I right, or am I right?"

"I mean, you're not wrong," Pope admits, after thinking for a hot minute.

"So... that means we have 12 hours to do whatever we want." JJ smiles at the group, clearly very impressed with his idea. "Huh? A little Pogue fellowship, how does that sound?" Sarah lightly shakes her head, she was sitting on the dock railing, next to me.

John B breaks a smile, "Let shit hit the fan tomorrow."

"Yeah!" JJ cheers.

"The cops could be looking for us. It could be really stupid." Sara mutters.

"Sarah Cameron," JJ strides over to us, "you've heard of my philosophy, right?

"No," Sarah smirks.

"Coral, tell her." He gestures at me and I playfully roll my eyes. "Come on." He begs.

"Stupid things have good outcomes all the time." I laugh, looking at Sarah who quickly joins in.

"Atta girl, now, who's with me? Let's get some beer." He skips down the dock.

Apparently, The Pogues knew a place that didn't need an I.D. So, JJ and I went into the sketchy shop, Geechies, to get some Natural Lite. He grabs my hand once we walk in, and we head to the back fridge for the beer. He grabs a big case with his open hand and plops it on the counter. The man gives us a look, not a good one. "How old are y'all?" He questions.

Plan B, I give him a flirty look, flicking my hair behind me, showing my revealing top a little more. "Sir, we'll pay extra." I lean against the counter, closer to him.

The man clears his throat, "Uh-uh. Yes-yeah, please." He stutters. Bingo. JJ pulls out a 10, giving it to the stuttering man, and he looks pissed.

"Keep the change," JJ grumbles, dragging me out of the store.

"What's up?" I ask as he pulls me along.

"It's so shitty that that worked." He tells me, "You had to flirt with a 50-year-old man to give you beer. It's fucking disgusting." I just shrug, that's how I did it when my mom would send me to the gas station to get more beer for her, it always worked.

It got dark pretty quickly, and by then we were all set up, John B, JJ, Sarah, and Pope decided to shotgun some beer, so the boys went inside to find a knife. "Boy, this is gonna be a night." I chuckle, I'll be the only sober one at the end of this.

Kiara laughs, taking the weed out of her mouth, "You should take a drink, Coral." I just shake my head, thankfully the boys come back out, screaming like animals. The boys, and Sarah, quickly shotgun the beers, the only successful one, being JJ, everyone else made an absolute mess.

After a lot of games, and fucking around, we decided to play a rap game. Pope was up first. "I never made good grades in school. When I get out, I act like a fool. They say I come in the party and cause a commotion. I'm smooth, yeah, call me lotion." I grimace at the last line. "Alright, Coral, your up."
