Damn, I'm good with these updates. I think it's cuz I like the story so much and excited to get to the best bits.

I really did not intend for this story to be serious, it was supposed to be a cute little fanfic I wrote because of ONE idea I had. After the first chapter, I didn't know what to do. I literally did not go into this with a plan, and now I'm excited for the chapters to come. It's quite funny to look back and see "It's only a short story. The chapters won't be long." I didn't even think Bella would be making that much of an appearance. Although the majority of chapters didn't quite turn out as good as I want them, I quite like the story in itself. It's very soft and fuzzy.

Enjoy!💜)

"So, where to, my devoted chauffeur?" Jacob asked, shuffling in his seat a little anxiously.

"Just around Forks... Y'know... I asked Bella for your number," Edward smirked bitterly, making a U-turn to drive back towards the town. "She refused to give it to me."

Jacob huffed a short laugh before turning to look at the vampire.

"Y'know, you are so nosey! " Jacob exclaimed with laughter.

Edward's brows furrowed at the insult, mouth opening and closing like a fish, staggering to get his words out.

"I am not! " he frowned.

"Yes, you are! Always up in everybody's business, gotta know everything about everyone. I'll bet you anything that's why you dated Bella. Just couldn't stand not knowing her thoughts," Jacob shook his head amused. "Bella told me how you couldn't ever seem to read her. I think you're just able to read people's minds because you're so unobservant and terrible at communication."

Edward let his words sink in. That. That was it! That was the itch! That explained everything! The irritation, the obsessive and controlling demeanour, the stalking, the fact he couldn't ever read people — let alone Bella, the pushy-ness!

"Oh my God... I am nosey!" Edward realised, eyes wide with dread.

Jacob erupted in laughter, absolutely howling with amusement.

"I see right through you. I know you for who you really are. And that's just a little nosey bastard, snooping through everyone's mind."

"But I don't want to read people's minds!" Edward cried out childishly.

"Only when it counts. Only when you feel bad about it," Jacob clarified with pity.

Edward sighed, combing his fingers through his forever-dishevelled hair.

"Hey, it's alright. At least you're man enough to admit it," Jacob attempted to comfort with a pained smile.

"I thought this drive was supposed to make me feel better. Now I just feel like an asshole," Edward grumbled.

"Oh, Ed. You are an asshole," Jacob patted Edward's thigh.

"Not helping," Edward retorted miserably.

"But you're an asshole getting better. That's a very brave thing. To admit your fuck-ups," Jacob shrugged.

Edward sighed again, a little lighter this time. He supposed the wolf had a point.

"...Thank you," he replied tenderly.

"And, hey. While we're at it: I'm an asshole too," Jacob confessed confidently, throwing his hands up in defeat. "Like, a really big one."
