Chapter 13

The next day Quinn and Autumn were at home by themselves. Noah had gone to work and Scott and Stiles were at school. Autumn was currently in her room playing while Quinn was going through paperwork. Thanks to her boss Quinn was able to take weekends off and then on weekdays get off before autumn got out of school Luckily Noah would take Autumn to go school on his way to work sometimes Stiles would offer to.

The women had just flipped to the next paper when she felt a presence behind her, she turned around only to jump when she seen it was Derek. "Why did you break into my home Der?" Quinn ask crossing her arms over her chest and raising a eyebrow. "I knocked and you didn't answer so I got worry." He explained. He had been worried about his sister figure since last night and couldn't help but want to check on her cause he blame himself. Quinn sighed she didn't realize she was that caught up in her work. "I'm fine Der, but you can't just break in you could scare—." Quinn was interrupted by a little voice. "Mommy?" Quinn and Derek both turned to the door way. "Hi honey, come here." She stated motioning for her to come in. "Autumn this is my brother Derek. Derek meet my daughter Autumn." She stated picking the little girl up who just stared at the man when her doe eyes. "I didn't know you had a daughter." Derek was shocked he didn't know his sister figure had been pregnant. "I do she joined the family a few weeks ago." Quinn explained. "Hi Autumn it's very nice to meet you." Derek spoke softly to the little girl causing her to smile at him. Derek's heart melted this little girl already had him wrapped around her finger and he just met her. "Hi. You look like a teddy bear." Autumn mumbled causing the golden haired women to laugh. "He can be when he wants to." She replied back causing the dark haired man to glare playfully at her. "Goldie! I'm always nice." She just sent him a pointed look. Before setting Autumn down. "Why don't you go ahead play some more Sti and Scott should be here soon." Autumn nodded before rushing off. "What did you need Der?" The man scratched his head nervously. "I wanted to check on you. Quinn I feel so bad about last night. You could have died and it would have been my fault. I already blame myself for my family. I can't have another family members death on my hands." He rambled out with tears in his eyes. "I can't lose the only family I have left I refuse to. I get I have done some bad things these last couple weeks but you've look past that and still seen me as the bratty kid you babysat. Please just after last night don't turn your back on me, I need the only big sister I have left." The man kept rambling only stopping when Quinn pulled him into a tight hug. "I will never turn my back of you. Yes, we make mistakes but we learn from them. Last night was one of those and I know deep inside is that young Der that I know and love. You are family always have been. Also, The Hale house fire was not your fault that was all on Kate. She manipulated you and groomed you! Never blame yourself over that. " She whispered while still in the hug. Derek nodded trying to keep his tears at bay. He didn't know why but anytime he was around Quinn he could let his emotions go.

It was now later in the afternoon Derek had left before Stiles and Scott got there not wanting to cause problems. Quinn was currently cooking cause she knew Noah would be here after work when she suddenly hurt a loud thud and giggles. Quinn sighed walking toward Stiles room knowing that's where here trouble trio were. "What was that?" She asked opening the door only to laugh at the sight before her. On the floor laid Scott and under him was Stiles and on Stiles bed was a giggling Autumn. Somehow they had managed to play twister and were now tangled with each out. "Are you guys ok?" Quinn questioned in between laughs only to receive pained groans. "Dinner will be ready soon and Noah should be here by then." Quinn stated causing all three to perk up at the sound of food. Sometimes Quinn wonder if the three were long lost siblings with how much they act like each other. "And please make sure you clean your mess up." Quinn exclaimed as she walked back downstairs to finish cooking.

After about 30 minutes Noah walked through the door going straight to Quinn and giving her a kiss. "How was your day?" Quinn asked pulling away. Noah sighed sitting down on a stool at the bar. "Long, every time we find a lead it goes to a dead end." Quinn felt guilty cause she knew it was a supernatural thing. She wanted to tell Noah but she respected Stiles wishes on the man knowing nothing. The blonde walked around massaging his shoulders. "You'll get it figured out." She reassured kissing the side of his head. "Right now it's time to eat. Shall I call the heathens or you?" Quinn added. Noah chuckled. "Have at it." He stated motioning for her to go ahead. Quinn nodded as she walked to the door frame. "Kids, dinners ready!" She yelled moving quickly back into the kitchen as she her the sound of thundering footsteps. She sighed knowing it was the boys rushing even after she told them no running in the house and she was right to set that rule because right when Stiles got into the kitchen he tripped landing on the floor with Scott landing on top of him. "This is why I said no running in the house." She explained for what felt like the millionth time only to receive Stiles pained groans.

A few minutes after Autumn came in her eyes lighting up when she saw the man at the bar "Daddy!" She rushed over to the man causing him to lift her up as she hugged him tightly. "Hi babygirl, Were you good today?" The little girl nodded with a smile. Ever since she's been there she was a daddy's girl.

That night the family sat down enjoying dinner Scott leaving soon after and the family of 4 went into the living room and had movie night where they fell asleep. Autumn was curled up into Noah's side with one around the little girl and the other with it wrapped around his girlfriend and Stiles laying his head on her lap and her hand on his head like she was running her finger through his hair before passing out.
