Chapter 56

Jasper's PoV

"I don't give a fuck damn it!" I stood up from the chair, slamming my fist against our dining table, yelling into Riley's phone. "I want them in front of my eyes in the next 6 hours or it's your head." Hanging up the call, I walked away from the dining table and sat on the sofa, closing my eyes.

What Venere said was right, Theo and Jenna are missing from the penthouse. We had secured the entire perimeter of Ellisphere, the building as well but my men didn't give any report of them running away from the city so they are still in Ellisphere. But they did manage to cheat the guards that were at the entrance of the building and I'm still not able to understand how?

It either means that they managed to sneak away when it got dark outside or someone from those guards helped them escape.

"I told y'all, they won't be sitting still like obedient little kids. But who the fuck has time to listen to with sane clear heads." Venere said, sipping her cold coffee.

"Can you stop being difficult? It is because of this attitude of yours that you're going to end up dead." As soon as those words left Riley's mouth, I almost forgot that she's my sister and was about to shoot her but Venere pulled her back onto line.

"Yeah.." She said with fake sadness but perked up really quick and continued, "But before that really really quick, I think, I think, you ALL have mountain sized heaps of trouble on you." She went back to being all serious within a second and said, "Try solving those first, then think about how I'm going to die."

With that end note, she walked into the kitchen.

"Leave me, she is getting on my nerves damn it!" I looked back at Riley to see Mark holding her back.

"Focus on getting the work in our hands first. Then, let's spread out in the city in the morning and search for them. I already dispatched a few people to look for them." Mark replied.

"There's no way they were able to leave the city. I checked with my contacts in the police and our informants as well, none of them saw those two leaving Ellisphere." Ben replied, reading one of his cases' paperwork that he was representing.

"Will you leave those papers?" Riley snapped.

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me. You are just drowned in those papers as if there isn't a crisis in our lives."

"Just because we ignore your bullshit doesn't mean I will be quiet. And by the way, this case is quite important if you didn't catch the memo." I gripped his shoulder tightly to remind him that he shouldn't say something that will damage their friendship beyond repair. He took a deep breath to collect his thoughts.

"Mark please get her to sleep, her crankiness and bullshit is not something I want to deal with right now, when it's 3 AM." Ben avoided talking directly to Riley.

"Talking to me directly is very difficult for you, huh?"

"Will you both fucking stop it? We have enough problems as it is and-"

I heard crashes from the stairs and stopped yelling. I also realised that Venere was the only one in the house other than 4 of us. But Ben and Riley over here got into a fight again and were so involved in it that they most probably ignored the noise.

What if someone broke in before we arrived?

Venere is capable of taking care of herself but here I'm still worried about her being in danger.

Startled at the touch on my shoulder, I turned around to see Mark right there saying, "Go there and see what's wrong. I will get Riley back to her room."
