The next morning, I woke with a groan and a sore back. After a good stretch, I fly back to my car and pull out my phone to give John a call, "Hello?"

"Hey John, I'm alive, and the last two vampires have been killed." There was a sigh of relief on his end, "thank god you're okay. The boys and I were worried about you. Are you coming back home?"

"I'm going to spend time in Hawkins. I haven't seen my friends since Christmas, and they are going on spring break."

"Alright. Call if you need anything."

"You know I will. Tell the boys I said hi."

"They'll be happy to know you're okay. Sam and Dean have been asking for you. I'll give you a call before they head to bed tonight."

"I can't wait for the call." I smile. "How's that crush of yours doing?" I groan at the question and give him a rundown of what happened. "I don't know. It seems like you ran off early. Talk to him next time you see him because based on what you said happened last night, it seems like he needed to process what happened. It doesn't mean he's scared of you now or likes you less. Hell, if it was me and I didn't know what I did, I know I'd need time to process that the person I was crushing on was something I thought was fictional."

I sigh, "Yeah. You're right. I'll talk to him as soon as I see him. Thanks, John."

"Any time, sweetheart. I'll let you go. Bobby is here to watch the boys. I found a ghost hunt."

"Alright. Be careful on the hunt, John. I'll talk to you later."

"Talk to you later."

The line disconnected just as I arrived back at the lake with my car, so I parked and went back into the woods until I hit the lake. A nice day like today made me wish I could turn into an aquatic animal, but something told me to enjoy the nice day while I could.

"Y/N, can you hear me?" Dustin's voice rings in my mind a few hours later. "I can hear you, Dustin. What's up?" He laughs for a moment, "This is so cool. Do I have to talk out loud for you to hear me?" I let out an amused puff of air, "No. as long as you think you're talking to me, the connection will hold."

"That's so badass. Anyways. The reason I called out to you is because Eddie pulled me aside during lunch and told me how you got into a fight at the hideout and found out you're a vampire. What the hell happened? You just told me your plan at Christmas about how you were going to tell him when I drag you to hang you with us the next time you're in town." I dipped my toes into the cold lake water as I explained what happened the night before and what I did to Eddie.

"Woah. I kinda wish I was there to see that fight, but don't worry. Eddie seemed more like he was worried about you rather than what you are. Do you want me to set something up so you can talk to him? I'm sure he wouldn't mind you joining our campaign final this Friday." I shake my head even though he couldn't see it, "No. He may feel like he's put on the spot, and his bandmates might recognize me."

"Uh, didn't you say you had hypnosis?"

"Yes, but-"

"Then make them forget that they saw you last night."

"I still won't come Friday, but we can do something Saturday."

"Saturday works. I gotta go. The bell rang, and I have to head back to class."

"Talk to you later, Dustin."

"Bye, Y/N."

The connection slips, and I stand from my spot with a sigh, "Guess I should go bother Steve until Robin gets out of school."
