i feel the warmth of the sun touching my face. i turn to my right and the alarm says 6:30 so i jump out from bed. i feel a little dizzy so i reach out  for my side table. i rub my eyes to see coz i dont feel the glass. it's gone. mom must be home now.

i get up and go to the kitchen. she's preparing breakfast.

"goodmorning dear" she greets. i greet back and sit at the bar.

i watch her back. her wet hair hangs below her shoulder. she's wearing her old dress and an apron. she glances at me and ask what's the matter. i shrug but i remember, when did she come back?

"mom, can i ask you something?" she nods, still paying attention at the food she's cooking.

"did you come in my room last night?" i thought i should ask. it seems true though.

"no. why? what happened?" she said. so it is a dream

"nothing mom. i just had a dream that you came in and sat at the end of the bed. you were telling me something but you're mumbling. i must be so exhausted last night that i didn't realize what's reality" i answered.

"me too. i was esxhausted and couldn't get up from bed so i guess that wasn't me who came in." she giggles while saying the last words. i smile too. but wait, i thought she's not here last night. it must be a dream too then.

"mom, is it possible for a person to sleepwalk or walksleep?"

"well, there are cases like that. why did you ask? did you sleep walk last night?"

"i don't know mom. did you come in my room this morning?" she shakes her head. so i must be dreaming then. it's all in my head. and the letter, oh!

i go to my bedroom and look at the side table. there ain't no letter folded there. so yes, i think i'm just dreaming.

i fix my bed so the blanket and comforter are not crumpled. i tucked it beautifully. i love doing this. then, i fix my pillows. i got shocked with what i saw. a piece of paper folded under my pillow.

i run back to the kitchen and asks mom something.

"mom, is it possible for a thing to be real? i mean, when you dream about it then it comes out of your dream?" she laughs and looks at me quizically.

"are you okay? are you having some sort of hang-over from your drink last night? of course it's not possible. sammy baby, you're getting old"

"mom!" she laughs again.

"come on to the dining, eat my soup so your mind would be clear. you silly girl" she crooks her head to the side. i think i'm just having a hang-over from last night.

i eat her soup and she joins me. it can't be true. how can a paper come out of my head? and why would i even dream about frank? oh yeah! he's always in my mind.

"mom, dad said frank encouraged him to throw the party for me. how did they know each other?" she shrugs.

"didn't you introduce frank to your dad before?" she asks. i don't remember doing that.

"why did he drive my car here? and why didn't he come in?"

"because he drove it here when were heading to the restaurant. i wonder HOW you didn't see that when we reached home. but i thought, you're just too exhausted so you didn't notice it." maybe she's right. so if he drove here earlier than that night, how did he come in my room? our house was closed and locked.

"are you okay sam?" she asks. "i'm sorry if you don't like the idea of frank driving your car. we ..."

"it's not that mom. i just wonder how he came in my room and put a letter on my table." she shrugs.
