It didn't take long for Pruitt Miller to have the Bailey-Warrens wrapped around her little finger. Once Miranda decided to leave her job, she quickly fell into her mother role full force.

However, she'd found that her two teenage boys didn't need all the mothering she was finally ready to provide. They barely liked to look up from their phones long enough to hold a conversation. And to top it off, their text messages consisted mainly of emojis or a simple "K."

Miranda never took it to heart, even though it did piss her off a little. She understood that they were teenagers and hanging with their mom wasn't the coolest thing for them to do.

There was just something she needed to do to get the whole family together. They had a new little girl and hadn't had a vacation in forever, so Miranda got an idea.

"Ben," Miranda called as she walked into their room; she had just put Pru down for the night.

"Yes, hun," Ben called from the bathroom. He'd just gotten home not too long ago from his shift at the station. Soon, he was walking towards her and scooping her up in his arms for a hug.

"Hello, to you," Miranda laughed. Ben took this opportunity to kiss her, earning more giggles.

"Wa-, wait, wait," Miranda called as she started to get lost in the kisses she loved so much.

Ben hit her with that smile he smiles as he pulled away. "Hmm?" He asked, still in a daze.

" I wanted to talk to you about something," Miranda said as she wiped the corners of his mouth. Her hands played on his head, one of her favorite places, making it hard for her to concentrate.

Ben took one of her hands and kissed it. "What is it, my love?" He continued to kiss up her arm, causing her to shiver.

She had to separate herself from him so she could think straight. She walked to the bed and began to pull her side back as she said, "I know we haven't had much time for us to spend as a family. Especially when I was Chief, but now that I have the extra time,"

Ben nodded and listened as he pulled back his side, joining her in bed.

"I want us to take a family trip." She finished as she bit her lip, waiting for his response.

"I would love that. I'll have to check with the station to see when I can get the days. What were you thinking?"

"Welllll, we have a little girl now and two teenagers, so I figured Disney would be a great experience," Miranda replied as she turned her body to him.

"Disney World? That flight is like five hours, almost six; you think Pru can handle that?"

"Well, her Grandparents wanted to ship her across the world" Miranda rolled her eyes.

"But, no, I was thinking Disneyland. It's a little closer and a half the flight time." She batted her eyes in an attempt to convince him, but he did need much convincing. He was already sold.

"Okay."

"Okay?"

"Okay."

"Just like that?" Miranda asked.

"Just like that, I've been wanting us to spend more time together as a family." He kissed her lips. "We've added two new members to our family in the last few years; we could use the bounding."

A smile spread across Miranda's face, and she kissed him again. Before long, the two giggled like teenagers as Ben climbed over her.

By lunch the next day, Miranda had everything planned. They would be staying at one of the on-site resorts and have the whole VIP Disney experience; she even had a surprise for Pru under her sleeve.
