Haven peered out the window, anticipation creeping up on her as Cairo drove through the newly built neighborhood. Passing through the other modern-style homes, Cairo finally pulled into an open driveway.
Haven and Cairo had separately made their own big moves over the following year or so, gaining significant stability. So they finally took the initiative to make a big move together, purchasing a home together.
After receiving the keys, they closed on their home almost two months ago. Their process of moving in had been delayed due to them wanting their home to be fully furnished before they officially moved in. The long-awaited day had finally came, their official move-in date.
Cairo put his car in park, prompting the both of them to get out and make their way to the front door. Once opening the front door they made their way through the open foyer. Cairo wasted no time as he made his way straight to his office, eager to see the finishing touches. Meanwhile, Haven lingered behind as she couldn't fathom that she was indeed a homeowner at the age of 22.
Their decision on moving in with one another was a thoughtful process in itself. Cairo wouldn't have preferred to move into an apartment as he had been accustomed to living in a house for the past two years. Haven didn't mind moving into his home but Cairo refused as he wanted her to have something that was hers in all aspects.
That led them to house hunting, scoring a four-bedroom, four-bathroom home with an office, nice backyard, and everything else that was suited for them in a newly built neighborhood.
