——The outside lights of the villa started to become illuminated as the sun was going down. It was the group's last day in Jamaica and they decided to enjoy it by relaxing around the pool all day, basking in each other's company and just enjoying the beautifulness of the villa.
They were dreading leaving early tomorrow morning knowing it was going to be hell jumping back into their regular work schedule. But, Haven was slightly anticipating getting back home as she was awaiting the results from her dental school application. Her application nearly took a year to complete as it was pretty lengthy.
"You okay?" Cairo's voice snapped her out of her daze, his arm pulling her closer. He easily picked up that she had been distracted most of the day, zoning out on him at times.
"I'm fine." She softly spoke, turning in the water so they could be face to face. She wrapped her arms around his neck, looking over at the face he held. She sent him a small smile, "I promise."
"Don't stress it." He said, watching her nod slowly. He left a kiss on her lips before getting out of the pool.
Haven sighed, reaching for the pool tube that was near her before getting into it. It was easy to say 'Don't stress it' but this was something that she had prided herself in wanting since middle school. This was all she wanted for her future and; she owed it to herself to open her own dental office one day.
Cairo went to take a seat on the couch, passing by Nino, who was lounging in a chair nearby. Smoke curled lazily under the deck as Nino occupied himself with a blunt. "Hm," He hummed, extending it out to Cairo, who shook his head.
"Nah, I'm good," Cairo said, earning a raised eyebrow from him. Coming from someone who never turned down a blunt, Nino was taken aback by Cairo's response. "I've been slowing down on that," He added.
Nino nodded, but his attention shifted as he noticed Cairo's gaze drift back to his little sister. He happened to notice a lot of subtle things between them during this trip—the way Cairo catered to her, the softness in his voice when he spoke to her, and the care in how he treated her.
As someone who had been married for months now, Nasir could easily pick up on what was going on. It was more than just affection; it was the intention. There was a certain look in Cairo's eyes, a quiet determination that Nasir recognized all too well. Cairo wasn't just thinking about the present—he was thinking about the future.
Nasir exhaled slowly, the smoke trailing into the air as he turned to Cairo with a smirk. "So when you plan on doing it?" he asked, casually dropping the question.
