The group of friends walked through the doors of Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The vibrant energy of the Caribbean island greeted them, but the aftermath of their early morning at the airport was evident as they wiped their tired eyes and stifled yawns. Everybody clutched a suitcase, while most of the girls juggled an extra bag or two.
Haven linked her carry-on bag around the suitcase's handle, already feeling the heat wave that welcomed them. She hastily lifted her arms to pull off her hoodie, accidentally causing her shirt to ride up. Cairo, quickly noticing it, tugged it back down for her. "Thanks," she muttered.
"Welcome, welcome!"
A dark-skinned man, dressed in a neatly pressed uniform, stood off to the side next to a large, sleek van. He held up a sign that read 'The Davis Party' in bold, cursive handwriting.
"I'm Dajuan," he greeted them with a broad smile and a slight head nod. "I will be your tour guide during your stay."
A/N: I don't know a lick of patois. I only know what the accent/ country is portrayed as so if I'm wrong just let me know! I'm typing in English, so just imagine them having an accent.
"Aye! Wah gwaan?" Mari responded happily, his face lighting up with a broad grin. This was his first time out of the country, and his excitement was clear.
After a round of introductions with Dajuan, the group began to pack their luggage into the back of the sprinter van. The heat was intense, and beads of sweat began to form on their foreheads. Finally, they all climbed into the van, and the cool, air-conditioned breeze greeted them prompting them to collectively sigh in relief,
The interior of the van was comfortable, with plush seats and wide windows offering a clear view of the vibrant surroundings. As they settled in, the van hummed to life as they pulled away from the airport. Dajuan glanced at them through the rearview mirror, his smile widening.
"Alright, everyone, let's get your vacation started," he said, his accent adding a charm to his words. "We'll be starting the long drive to your villa first, and then I'll give you all the rundown of everything you will need to know. You're in for a treat, trust me."
Within fifteen minutes into the drive, Dajuan began sharing interesting tidbits about Montego Bay, his voice a mix of enthusiasm and local pride. "Montego Bay is famous for its beautiful beaches and rich history," he explained, gesturing outside. "You all have plenty of things planned to make sure you enjoy every moment here."
