Castiel had never been drunk before. He had heard stories from Dean and Sam about their wild nights of drinking and partying, but he had never experienced it himself.

So when Dean suggested that they go out for a night of drinking, Castiel was hesitant at first. But he wanted to experience everything that being human had to offer, so he agreed.

They started out at a bar, and Castiel was surprised at how quickly the alcohol hit him. He was a lightweight, and it didn't take much for him to feel the effects.

Dean and Sam watched in amusement as Castiel became more and more intoxicated. He was giggly, and he kept touching Dean's arm or leaning into him.

Dean found it adorable, and he didn't mind the attention. He knew that Castiel was just having fun, and he was happy to be there for him.

As the night wore on, Castiel became more and more drunk. He started slurring his words, and he had trouble walking in a straight line.

Dean and Sam decided that it was time to take Castiel home. They helped him into the car, and Castiel immediately passed out in the backseat.

Dean drove them back to the bunker, and he carried Castiel inside. He tucked him into bed, and Castiel softly whispered "I love you" before falling asleep.

Dean was surprised, but he didn't think too much of it. He knew that Castiel was drunk, and he assumed that Castiel wouldn't even remember saying it the next day.

The next morning, Castiel woke up with a massive hangover. He stumbled into the bathroom and started puking in the toilet.

He had no memory of the night before, and he was confused when he saw that he was wearing different clothes than he had been wearing the night before.

Dean and Sam came into the bathroom, and they started teasing Castiel about his drunken antics. Castiel was embarrassed, but he couldn't help but laugh at himself.

He was grateful to have such good friends who could take care of him, even when he was at his worst. And even though he didn't remember saying "I love you" to Dean, he knew that it was true.

Dean couldn't shake off the feeling of surprise and confusion after hearing Castiel whisper "I love you" the previous night. He had always been aware of the deep bond between him and Cas, but he never expected to hear those words from him.

As he sat down next to Castiel, who was still recovering from his hangover, he couldn't help but ask him about it. "Hey, Cas. Do you remember what you said to me last night?" Dean asked gently.

Castiel groaned and rubbed his temples. "I'm sorry, Dean. I don't remember anything from last night. Did I say something stupid?" he asked, looking worried.

Dean hesitated for a moment before answering. He didn't want to make Castiel feel uncomfortable or embarrassed, but he also didn't want to keep his feelings bottled up. "You said 'I love you' to me before you fell asleep," he said quietly.

Castiel's eyes widened in surprise, and he blushed. "Oh. I'm sorry, Dean. I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable. I was just drunk, and I don't remember saying that," he said, looking down at his hands.

Dean placed a hand on Castiel's shoulder, trying to reassure him. "It's okay, Cas. I'm not uncomfortable. I just wanted to talk to you about it because... well, because I love you too," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Castiel looked up at him, his eyes shining with emotion. "You do?" he asked, his voice trembling.

Dean nodded, smiling softly. "Of course, I do. You're my family, Cas. You mean everything to me," he said, his eyes never leaving Castiel's.

Castiel's eyes filled with tears, and he leaned into Dean, hugging him tightly. "Thank you, Dean. I love you too," he whispered.

Dean hugged him back, feeling a weight lifted off his chest. He had finally told Castiel how he felt, and it felt like a huge relief. He knew that their bond would only grow stronger from that moment on.
