"You have a crush and didn't tell me!" SEASON 5- PART 4

"Maddie! The they are waiting!" Cassie called up the stairs as Maddie grabbed her bag. "I'm coming, do not to leave!"

"We weren't planning on leaving." Luke called back up making the girl giggle as she double checked she has her money her parents had given her. Today she was going to the fair with Luke and his family since her parents had to go on another business trip and Cassie had work.

"Okay you have fun today and don't do anything I wouldn't do." Cassie patted Maddie on the back. "What do you want me to do sit in the corner and study?"

"Studying is important!" Both Callie and Alex argued at the same time making each other laugh. "Well whatever I'll see you later." She waved goodbye to her sister and clambered into the Dunphy's car.

"Hey, there she is!" Luke said happily walking up to Alex. "Yeah I'm not giving you any money."

"I don't need your money, I need advice...about a girl." He looked around nervously and Alex grimaced. "Gross, but I'm intrigued so talk."

"Alex. Hey, girlita." A brunette girl came over to Alex and hugged her. "Sienna, girl!" Alex replied as Maddie walked over with a slushy. "Ooh gimme some." Luke tried to take it out of her hands but she shook her head. "You shouldn't have spent all your money trying to win that stupid giant teddy bear."

"I didn't spend it all!" Luke insisted as he grabbed the slushie out of Maddie's hand and took a quick sip before Maddie snatched it back and through the boy a glare. "I've been looking all over for you." Alex's friend said to Alex as she began tying her hair up and Alex mirrored her. "Uh, this is my little brother, Luke and his...friend Maddie. Guys this is Sienna."

Luke waved shyly while Maddie gave the girl a friendly grin. "He wants advice on some lame crush he has." Alex rolled her eyes as Maddie gasped. "You have a crush and didn't tell me!"

"Yeah that's huge." Sienna said to the boy and Alex's mood changed. "So huge!" She agreed with the girl. "So, Luke who is this mystery woman?" Sienna asked intrigued and Maddie nodded, wanting to know as well.

"Um, just some girl." Luke tried to act cool but Maddie could see something was off. His voice was all high, he was tapping his foot and he couldn't look Sienna in the eye. Weird...

"Mads! Hey!" A voice snapped her out of her thoughts and she turned around to see her friends. "Oh hey guys!" She hugged the one she was closest too, Alice, before greeting everyone else. "Hey Mads, you should totally come with us." Another girl, Rhianna, said and they all nodded in agreement.

"Umm, Luke do you mind?" Maddie asked the boy who shook his head. "Nope have fun." He said quickly before he rushed away with Sienna and Alex. That stung Maddie a bit, it was almost like he wanted her to leave, but she pushed the thought away as her friends began talking. "We need to go on that rollercoaster that goes upside down the uhm...oh yeah the Barrel roll, come on!" Alice squealed as they all ran off to the line.

"Okay so we've done the Banshee, the Barrel roll, hook a duck, the ring toss and checked out all the mini shops...how about the dunk tank next! I heard that Mr Ja-hong volunteered to be in it." Daisy laughed excitedly as they all raced towards the dunk tank.

Daisy was right, one of the most hated teachers in school had volunteered to be in the dunk tank, for some unknown reason. "Ooh! Mads I forgot to tell you, you know that sophomore Jaden Baker?"

"Yeah?" Maddie asked turning to the girl. "I heard from his brother Jacob he has this big fat crush on you!" Alice said excitedly as the other girls giggled like in those cliche Rom-Coms that are sometimes so cringy you want to end your own life, yet most people watch them anyways. "No way? Really!"

"Yeah, apparently he's planning on asking you out like right here today, that's if he can find you of course." Alice added making Maddie feel warm suddenly. "Awww Mads is blushing!"

"Am not!" Maddie laughed as she paid the operator for the dunk tank and was given 3 tennis balls. "Oh good lord." Mr Ja-hong said seeing them. He didn't like those girls that much.

Maddie threw one and it missed completely. "God I'm awful! Daisy how about you go, you have pretty good aim." Maddie sighed giver her remaining balls to Daisy. Daisy hit the target with her last ball and Mr Ja-hong went splashing into the water making the girls burst out laughing.

"I got it on video!" Rhianna announced before sending it to a group chat they had together. "Oh my god look there is a Photo Booth! Come on!" Maddie grabbed the girls hands and they all ran to the Photo Booth.

"Put on our matching headbands we bought, that'll look super cute!" Alice said and they all nodded in agreement. They all smiled nicely for on before pulling stupid faces for the others.

"I'll print out 4 copies so we can each have one." Daisy smiled once they got out and waited for their pictures to print.

"Look at that photo!"

"Daisy why are you doing bunny ears behind my head?"

"Mads look at your face in this one!"

They all laughed as they looked at the photos before Maddie was tapped on the shoulder. "Uh Jaden, hi!"

"Hey Maddie, you guys don't mind if I take her away for a bit, do you?" Jaden asked her friends who all shook their heads and giggled. "Okay cool I'll see you guys in a bit." Maddie smiled at her friends tucking her photo strip into her bag.

"Hey do you wanna go on the ferris wheel together?" He looked down at her and she nodded her head eagerly. "Yeah sure let's go."

Luke wondered aimlessly around the fair looking for Sienna, Maddie, Alex or anyone really. But he couldn't find anyone. He actually had a giant crush on Alex's friend, Sienna, but she found out and left him and Alex alone. Then he heard a familiar laugh behind him coming from the line for the ferris wheel.

He turned around to see Maddie getting on the ferris wheel with someone Luke didn't know as he could only see he was a really tall guy, but he couldn't of been a 9th grader and that's all Luke really needed to know. He watched as they got into the compartment and saw it was none other than Jaden Baker, some douchebag in 10th grade.

He watched as they went round and round and they talked and talked until they kissed. Like on the lips kissed. Luke felt as if he was being punched in the stomach several times.

'Why were they still kissing?' Luke thought to himself as continued to watch them kiss and beginning to make out. Luke grimaced before realising  how creepy he was unintentionally being and walked away feeling kind of sad, he wasn't actually sure why though. He pushed the thoughts away and just concluded that he was only feeling so protective of Maddie since they were best friends, that's all.

After about 15 minutes he found his family who were listening to the band but now his dad on stage? "Hey Luke, why is Phil on stage?" Luke turned around to see Maddie standing there with a teddy bear in her arms and some cotton Candy. Her lip gloss was slightly smudged and she was smiling a lot more than usual, which is hard for someone who usually gets called little miss sunshine by Phil. "I don't know but whatever he is he's getting off now."

"Come on kids let's go." Phil mumbled holding onto Claire's hand and rushing them out of fair. "Oh okay!" Maddie exclaimed following them as Luke sighed and began walking. "Are you dating Jaden Baker?" He asked the girl who stopped in her tracks. "Why would you ask me that? Of course not I-"

"Well why were you making out on the ferris wheel like your in some cheesy movie." Luke fired back at her making the girls grin drop. "You were watching- ew that's gross and what if I am dating him it's not like it's any of your business anyways." She snaps back and began walking back to the car. "But he's a sophomore."

"I know that Luke." Maddie grinned at the ground as they both reached the car. "Okay just be careful is what I'm trying to say." Luke sighed and Maddie hugged him. "Thanks Luke, it means a lot to me that you care."

He hugged her back and smiled. "No problem Maddie."
