"Hey, Alex! What's up?" Maddie questioned as Alex answered the door, today was Luke's Halloween party and Maddie was so excited. "Hey Maddie, nice costume." The dark headed girl grinned and Maddie smiled in return before walking into the house. "Thanks."

"Uh, I thought the party started like 30 minutes ago?" Maddie turned to Alex in confusion and Alex sighed. "It was supposed to, but like nobody is turning up." Maddie bit her bottom lip lightly, poor Luke. Luke was so looking forward to throwing this party but for nobody to show up is a real shame. Not even Manny showed up.

"Hey Luke, nice costume." Maddie nodded at the brunette boy, who was in a kissy face emoji currently looking at the floor. "Thanks." Luke's eyes slowly moved up to see Maddie's costume, making his eyes widen slightly. "N-Nice costume too."

"Thank you, the main character (Elle Woods) wears it on Halloween in this movie Legally Blonde." Maddie informs the boy before apologising for the fact that there is very little people at this party." Before Luke could say anything else, someone did join the party.

"Thanks for inviting me to your party, brah. Sweet jams. Where all the fillies at?" A muffled voice yelled out from inside a beaver costume.
Maddie turned around and furrowed her eyebrows together, who the hell was this random guy and why did he sound so familiar? "Dad?" Luke whispered and Maddie then realised why he sounded so familiar.

"Dad? I'm Rod Skyhook. Recent transfer student, yo! What's that knocking? Oh, it's me. About to get this party rockin'!" Phil called out and Luke's eyes widened. "Oh, God." "It's all good up under the hood, biznaches!" Phil bellowed aloud as Luke squeezed his eyes shut in embarrassment.

Before his dad came closer to his ear in his ear. "Pretty soon, every kid in here is gonna call every one they know telling them to get their butts down here. You wanna gas up the door traffic?" Phil asked and Luke immediately spat out a reply. "Not inviting parents." "Your party, broseph."

"How does your dad plan on getting this party less, I mean this in the nicest way possible, depressing?" Maddie questioned as Luke shrugged and her eyes followed Phil around the room until he reached the speakers.

"Sorry, Jack. I'm gonna need some beats!" Luke instantly smacked his face with his hand as Phil began playing hip-hop music through the speakers and breakdancing. "I'm gonna kill myself." Maddie heard Luke mumble before she walked into the hallway and called Manny.

"Hello?" "Manny, where the hell are you?" Maddie questioned as she bopped her head to the music. "I'm at Sarah's party, getting rejected by people in every direction. Why?" Manny asked and Maddie scoffed frustratingly.

"Well, I'm at Luke's party. You know the party we both promised to be at, since he's our best friend. So you better get your ass over here right now Delgado, or else." Maddie threatened before hanging up the phone and making her way back to where Luke and Rod Skyhook were.

Soon enough tons of people started showing up, all from Sophie Chambers party.

"Give me some space, son!" Phil yelled as he continued to break dance in the middle of this dance circle he had created. "That's how we do, sucka!" He called out again as everyone continued dancing around him.

"Is it just my imagination or is Dad actually your lame party?" Alex questioned before Luke looked down at the dark haired girl with a smirk. "Is it just my imagination or is Reuben's makeup on your chin?"

Alex's once smug expression fell as she touched her chin, which had white face paint all over it. "I have a problem." Alex admitted before awkwardly walking away and Maddie and Luke sent each other smile. "Guess it's a good thing that Phi-sorry, Rod Skyhook came here after all cause you have to admit, Alex is right. Rod did save your party."

"Hey, Manny! How's the party going?" Maddie raised an eyebrow and the boy shrugged. "Not great. I mean, you know that nobody gets my costume and I'm pretty sure no girl is gonna dance with me all night." Manny informed the girl who held out her hand towards him.

"I know it's not the same cause it's not in a romantic way but I'll dance with you." Manny took the girls hand and the pair struggled to figure out a way to dance together. Manny was costume was an author (Dalton Trumbo) who was known for writing in a bathtub and Maddie was a bunny.

"That's gotta be hard to watch." Alex winced slightly as her and Luke watched the pair attempt to awkwardly dance with each other from the stairwell. Luke rolled his eyes at his sisters comment. "Shut up, Alex."

Suddenly, Maddie noticed someone that had a strikingly similar costume to Manny's. So she had an idea. "Manny, I'm gonna go to the bathroom. I'll be back in a minute." Maddie informed the Columbians boy who nodded as Maddie 'accidentally' shoved Manny into somebody.

Manny turned to apologise to the somebody he'd just bumped into only to see it was a girl. A girl with a short black wig, a round table, a pearl necklace, a black dress and a plate. A girl who he felt he had recognised.

Manny went to move out of her way, and she did the same for him and they both let out some awkward mumbled apologies. "I'm so sorry." She eventually plucked up the courage to say and Manny shook his head. "Don't be, this is the most a girl has danced with me all night."

Both of the teens let out a small chuckle as the girl let a grin grace her face. "I love your Dalton Trumbo." She complimented Manny, who felt his cheeks burning red as he suddenly realised why the girl felt so similar. "Thank you, Dorothy Parker."

"You're the first person tonight who's actually gotten that!" The dark haired girl smiled again, as did Manny. "I know how that feels." "Yo! Yo! Yo! Awesome rager on the ground floor! Upstairs off-limits. Backyard too 'cause it just got re-sodded!" Phil hollered before waltzing out the front door.

"Typical high school idiot." She began and Manny nodded in agreement, fully aware of the fact that the person inside of that suit was Phil. "I fear for this country. I'm Manny." Manny introduced himself, giving Jemma the opportunity to do so as well. "I'm Jemma. Nice to meet you Manny."

A/n: short and kinda boring chapter but oh well. Not edited so please ignore any spelling mistakes.
