The Training

I sat by the table with Jūzō, his face motionless. I knew he was dissociated for the past few days as he had got really injured by those ghouls. I was the one training a lot, skinning myself, trying to become stronger as a ghoul. It was a nightmare, but seeing Suzuya sit there always distracted me.
I walked up to him, my body shaking. I didn't want to talk to him, since the pain from training was unimaginable, but I had to tell him to either go or continue training with me. It was only one out of two, and not more than those two.
"Suzuya," I said, trying to look him in the eye, "will you train with me, or will you, please, go somewhere, so I don't get distracted?"
It took him a whole lot of three seconds to process what I said, "I'm going to try to train, it's basically something I have to do…"
We got into our usual training positions, face to face. Jūzō didn't seem to be wanting to do it, but he had a great willpower to do things like that.
We always trained face to face, how weird it wouldn't sound. We were competing against each other, so it would be easier to be able to increase our strengths together.
"Are you ready?" I asked, gazing straight at Jūzō.
"Yes," he said, his usual smile not appearing.
We reacted really well to it and started fighting, my kagune flying in the air. His quinque was very heavy, and I had never understood how he carried it, but it was seen how difficult it was for him to use it then.
He wasn't saying anything as he always did, he just jumped up and down, trying to dodge my kagune.
"Why aren't you trying to hit me?" I asked, still fighting.
"I'm too tired," he said, looking away from me.
I didn't answer, and we continued fighting.
It was slowly starting to get annoying for me.
"Are you going to try or not!" I cried, silencing the hits over the guy's head.
He didn't answer my question and just continued dodging.
"I'm asking you!" I stopped, Suzuya jumping to the wall.
I walked over to him as fast as possible, looking him deep in the eyes.
"Are you going to engage?" I whispered, trying to calm myself down.
"Do you seriously think I'm capable of that right now?"
"Yes, it's your job!"
"Will all of you leave me alone! I don't want to be here," he started shouting, making my heart sink, "I'm not going to work here anymore, you couldn't even help me while I was struggling! What kind of a bitch are you?"
He pushed me away, walking away, his legs shaking from an exploding emotions in them.
