Jade POV
I watched in horror as Jack's pale eyelids shut, his pale lips letting out a small boyish whimper. I stiffled a tear from dropping as his hands went limp, his head tilting to the side.
"It is you. Alone, now." Pitch chuckled. A growl build up in my throat as I slowly turned my head towards where he and Aqua stand.
"You." Aqua said robotically. My hands flared with flames.
Aqua then charged at me at full speed, knocking me out of my standing position. Before he could put another finger on me any further, my fire swirled around his hands and the parts of his body near mine.
Aqua choked on his own words as he stared wide-eyed on the fire eating him.
"Wh-y-y..." He gagged out. Sobbing, I stopped the fire, snapping my fingers.
"Not me! Not Jack! Not us! Its you! Why?!" My palm hit his cheek, leaving a handmark.
"WHY?!" I screeched as he gave me an innocent look, his eyes still red. "I can't believe you'd dare to do this!" I screamed at him, my eyes looking for sights of Pitch. He's not anywhere at my line of sight.
My feet wobbled as I glared at him, tears flowing down my face and burned. Aqua's lips quivered as he observed me crying.
"Jad-" He reached out his hand to me but was cut off by a large object hitting his body from behind me. Gasping in shock, I spun around and found Jack, face serious.
Jack's Guardian face had returned, no longer the childish Guardian of Fun, but the responsible one.
He was clutching his wounded stomach with his hand, his staff on the other. I bowed as he walked pass me stiffly.
It was a matter of time until I realised the object which had hit Aqua was a large ice boulder, with sharp contours. That must've hurt so bad; Because Aqua didn't respond ever since.
When Jack reached Aqua my neck was strangled with something, dragging me backwards.
I tried slapping the person strangling me, with results of eruption of fire sparks and random sized fireballs.
On the very top of my eyes I saw half of Pitch's face, his eyes slightly squinting, almost as he's smirking at me.
With a shriek my sight was dotted with dancing dots. I clamped my mouth shut and burned Pitch, then the strangling stopped.
Black smoke evaporated around me, the fire I had created was surrounding me. It was now bright, due to the fire I was making. I was sprawled over the dry, burnt grass, panting.
Over the loud heart thumping I heard in my head, a scream could be heard from Jack's direction. I lifted my weight up and peeked over the fire weakly, seeing Aqua trashing and groaning on his back.
Jack was standing over him, his hand pointing to Aqua's direction. After a long session of hearing Aqua's scream, the screaming slowly died down and was replaced with heavy panting.
I could feel energy surging through my legs and up my body. Glancing down, I could see the fire was swirling around my heels to my calf, and to my thighs before blending in with my skin. My body absorbed the energy, encouraging me to sit up.
My senses wasn't a much help when it comes to long distance hearing. I could hear the sound of Jack's muffled voice as he spoke to the panting Aqua.
I concentrated, finding myself eavesdropping. But I didn't care, though. I always eavesdrop.
"... Do you understand the consequences? Everyone will mark you in the blacklist if you do this for any longer. Everytime one of us sees you, they'll eliminate you. Are you aware of that?" Jack explained icily.
Aqua huffed, looking up at Jack with his red eyes.
"No." Aqua sissed. A millisecond later, he screamed in agony- again.
"Are you aware of that?" Jack repeated, huffing.
"Yes- P...please..." Aqua gasped between screams. Again, he stopped screaming, but panted.
"Go." Jack ordered, and Aqua scrambled to his feet, panicky. He stole a last glance at Jack before flying off, fast as a jet.
I grunted, laying of my front once more. The fire around me lessen, since I absorbed it.
I hear faint footsteps, directed towards me. I didn't respond, I have a feeling I know who that was.
"Are you okay? Why are you laying like that? You look kinda funny, really." There was a hint of amusement and playfulness in his voice, I was relieved.
"I need a shut-eye." I squeaked, not budging from my position. Jack chuckled, his hand gripped my upper arm, tugging me up.
"At least, not here." He reasoned as I disobeyed his informal order. Again, he tugged. This time, I lifted my weight with Jack's faint support and stood up.
I fangirled over his face for a second there- his blue eyes gave a confused look as my eyes won't leave his. My gaze then dropped to his stomach.
He wasn't clutching it anymore, but there were stains of his blood on his sweater.
I frowned as he raised my face with his finger, shaking his head.
"I'm fine," He waved off as I looked at the blood stains again.
"Are you sure?" I bit my lip. He smiled and nodded confidently.
"I just need new clothes... Thats all." He shrugged, tugging me towards the house. Once he looked back, scanning the meadow behind us.
"You need clothes?" I asked intentionally, to divert his attention from the meadow. "Hm?" He raised his eyebrows.
"Do you need clothes?" I repeated, being more detail. He nodded slowly, the corner of his mouth twitched.
"I think I have a shirt." I dragged him into the house, where he stopped.
"Don't ask me to take off my clothes again..." He demanded. I laughed, shaking my head.
"What can I do? You still have to though," I winked at him as he widened his eyes in surprise. I laughed yet again.
