"You're tired. Take a rest. I'll take over." Jade touched Jack's slumped shoulder lightly when he had his head bowed down, sitting in his chair that he had been sitting on for probably more than 12 hours now. His limp hand came to grip his staff tighter, and harsh in Jade's eyes, he shrugged out of her touch. "Just let me be." Jade's pale hand fell to her side in disappointment, and she walked out of Jack's study without another word. Jack, on the other hand, was so irritated and drained that he didn't realize his mate was upset with him.
As a strong and steady kingdom, Trylle was constantly a target for those who wanted to ruin the peace and freedom that lies behind the barriers of strong elements. Not only having multiple guardians that defended the kingdom from threat, Trylle also had a strong backup of fighters and from the other Guardians as well. It seems hard for someone to try and cause havoc, but it was a harder pressure for the main ruler himself-- The Guardian of Fun, Jack Frost.
He was healthy as he is, but there was one thing that the person closest to him had noticed-- he's working harder and longer than he was supposed to and he didn't have the chance to fulfil his responsibility as a Guardian. Jade had tried to convince Jack to pass his works to the trustworthy people of Trylle for the time being, but all he ever did in response was make her walk off in utter disappointment.
Due to this, Jade had flew off from the castle walls and went to fend the kingdom at the barriers on her own, with her army, of course. It was the beginning of winter, and the trails were covered in specks of snow. The arch-- better known as the Entrance-- was free from snow, under Ben's orders, because he had noticed that it had became a difficulty for merchants to enter Trylle, due to the snow that's piling up.
Jade landed just in front of the entrance, and the people that recognized her quickly and hastily greeted her.
The marching of Trylle's trained soldiers -- that she handled-- had echoed throughout the whole kingdom, words spread that Jade Flame had decided to sort out the trespassers that meant harm. However, the words that spread fast like a current going down a waterfall, did not reach Jack Frost. That only means one thing-- he had shut the world out.
Jade's bright brown eyes lit up, the halo of red symbolizes fiery. Her red lips tugged up in a sly and creepy smile, half of her face hidden under the shadows of her black cloak. The Entrance way was silent, the guards that spent their miserable nights, guarded the criminals that were held inside the small prison. They show no signs of regrets, even after shedding blood with two of the guards, much to the Elementor's dismay.
As someone who was percieved as both elegant and powerful, Jade's slow steps' echoes had made the situation eerie. Jade had ordered the people near the Entrance to return home, as it was getting dark, to which they obeyed. Jade stood in front of the shameless criminals inside the cage, waiting for the absence of the Trylle citizen before starting.
"Well, well," Jade's tight lips then opened to reveal a menacing smile, showing her white rows of teeth, just like a predator getting ready to feast. The criminals, in a vast number -- about 20 individuals, some had their hands gripping the metal bars on the cage, stared at her in silent anger.
"You've made a big mistake to try and invade our land, do you realize?" One arm crossing her chest, the other spinning a small or tornado of fire in the air-- almost casually, these words left Jade's lips in a unharmful-hearing tone.
"This is our land, you useless pieces of witches are just controlling it!" One of them spoke up, and went to grip the metal bars as he gave her an angry glare. A fake gasp left Jade's lips, and she laid her palm over her chest as if she was offended. She looked down and seemed sad and hurt, her thick eyelashes covering the fiery colour of her pupils, but the act was broken as a slowly risen laugh echoed from her lips, and before they know it, Jade was already laughing at the man who objected her.
