The scene opens to Kyoshi Island where a older man is seen walking the view changes to a shot of a tree on a hill within the village as the sun is setting. Leaves fall from the tree as the man approaches it. The man revealed himself to be an older Lü Bu.
Lü: Hello again old friend.
The scene changes to him staring at a grave. He rests on his knees and piles some rocks at the tree's base. He removes several things from a basket he brought with him one them being a sword, and places them at the bottom of the tree, near to the pile of stones.
Lü: It took some time but... I finally found it. I remember you wouldn't stop blabbering to me and Toph about this sword after you lost it.
He closes his eyes trying hold back his tears as he speaks again.
Lü: Y'know... out of everyone in our group. I would've thought I'd be the first one to go out. But... it was you.
The scene flashes back to the night the Red Lotus attacked and after they killed Lü's son and daughter-in-law. Lü is seen holding a man around his age who was on the verge of death, that man was Sokka.
Sokka: Zaheer... got me pretty good huh?
Lü: Hang in there wise man. We're gonna get you to Katara and-
He was cut off by Sokka grabbing his arm as he coughs with blood coming out his mouth. But he smiled at him.
Sokka: I had a dream last night Lü...
Lü: Stop talking your making the wound worse.
Sokka: I had a dream... that I was on Kyoshi Island. *COUGH* That me and Suki settled down... and had two mini versions of ourselves running around playing on the beach.
Lü: Sokka. Hey eyes on me, come on man!
Sokka only laughed his eyes slowly fading but he still spoke to him.
Sokka: I told you... I was with you till the end. I guess this is the end...
Lü stands up carrying Sokka as he was slowly fading.
Sokka: Lü... promise me two things. When you bury me... make sure I'm next to Suki... so that way I won't leave her side again. And finally, do everything that you can to help Korra. I know your not the teacher type... but she'll need you.
Lü: Sokka you know I can't tea-
Sokka: Promise me... my brother.
Lü slowly nods as he cried. Sokka chuckles and shifted his head to where he was staring at the snowy night sky as the moon shines bright.
Sokka: Suki...mom...dad...Aang. I can't wait to finally see you guys again.

Lü: On that day... I failed the world. I failed as a father. I failed as a friend. I failed as a brother. But... I kept my promise.
The scene fades to the funeral, in the Southern Water Tribe as Sokka's grave was shown next to Kya and Hakoda. But there was a bonfire where a group is shown mourning as Lü and Azula are seen wearing winter coats holding their son's and Roku holding his sister-in-law jackets, they toss it into the fire watching the embers fly into the sky. As Roku watched a memory of them together played.

The scene cuts to a pre-teen Korra and Ryu practicing their Firebending against each other with Lü and Katara watching from the distance. As his voice spoke over the montage.Lü: Her first firebending master was a bit of an ass from what I was told. But with proper timing and me slowly adapting to her styles. I managed to not only becoming the best firebender in the world but also becoming the best firebending teacher. Suck it Toph!
He nods as it cuts back to the kids. Korra and Ryu get into the first posture of the Dancing Dragon and change their postures to the next. Cut to Korra spreading her arms out as a image of Aang doing the same motions and the blue dragon flies behind her following the shape of her arms. Korra turns her arms to her side as the dragon turns as well. Screen zooms out to show the dragons spirits performing the same movements as each other.
Cut to Ryu, who pushes his hand up as the image of Zuko and red dragon behind him goes up as well. Lü dips and the dragon dives down accordingly. Cut to the dragons flying above the bridge as screen pans below to show the two performing the Dancing Dragon.
Cut to them performing the final move. As Katara looks over at a smiling Lü Bu. As the memory fades to the present as Lü is still sitting by their graves.
Lü: Her and my grandson when they fight together they are in perfect unison and move as one... they are next generation of heroes Aang spoke of. But frankly I'm also here to say... I miss you Sokka. We all do, Katara, Zuko, Toph. We miss both you and Aang. You were our heart and soul of the team, and there wouldn't be a team Avatar without you.
Lü looks over his shoulder at the setting Sun and then back at the graves with a sigh.
Lü: Sadly... I must go. I have a long journey ahead of me. Zaheer and his gang have escaped and are after Ryu and Korra. Goodbye old friend... and happy birthday.
The scene pans out showing the graves as Lü is shown riding on Mushu to the North Pole where he will meet Tonraq and Zuko.
