ISAACS POV::
I couldn't help but just stare at her as she walked away and out of the class room. How she had the confidence to just flat out compliment me I would never know, but I wish I could be like that.
I'd only spoke to her for around a minute but in that time I figured out she wasn't the type of person to follow the rules. What she was wearing definitely didn't work with the school's dress code, that's for sure.
She had on black high waisted skinny jeans with combat boots. Her crisp white blouse was untucked, the sleeves of her blazer rolled up and her tie was definitely too loose.
I don't know what it was about her, maybe it was the fact that she was so careless but I found myself wanting to talk to her for hours. I also really wanted to find out more about her, I was convinced that she was probably adorable as hell under the tough facade she had going.
I pretty much spent the whole lesson thinking about this Emerald girl and when I looked down at my book I realised the only thing I had written down was the date. I hauled my bag over my shoulder and shut the book before the teacher could see that I'd basically sat there for an entire hour doing nothing.
I walked out of the room as soon as I could and caught up with a group of boys that I'd met in my maths class: Harry, Charlie and Reece.
"Hey." I greeted them, "Do you know some girl called Emerald?"
"Dude, Emerald McReary?" Charlie raised his eyebrows.
"Obviously, she's the only Emerald in the school." Harry replied sarcastically.
"Man, she's trouble." Reece said.
"Not really, just 'cause she smokes and drinks doesn't make her trouble. Pretty much all of us have done both before anyway." Charlie scoffed.
"Well maybe, but she does it more than she should and she doesn't really do much in class. She's really smart though." Reece shrugs.
"Why do you wanna know anyway? Got a crush on your first day?" Harry teased.
"Maybe, she sat next to me in English, called me hot and cute then walked out." I chuckled.
"Sounds like something she'd do to be honest." Charlie laughed.
"She hangs out with the sixth form boys a lot though. Like Kellin Quinn, he pretty much runs the entire school and Ronnie Radke is one of her closest friends." Harry explained.
"Once you get to know her she's really amazing, I used to be really close with her but then she met the sixth formers, she gets along with them better." Charlie sighed.
"Does she have a boyfriend?" I asked.
"Slow down mate, don't wanna seem too eager." Harry laughed.
"No she doesn't, she talks to a lot of guys at the same time though." Reece said.
"Honestly, you don't wanna get involved in her. In the end it'll only hurt you." Charlie slung his arm around my shoulders, pulling me along with him as they walked towards the lunch hall.
No matter what they had said, I knew that I wouldn't be able to get this girl off of my mind, she was captivating and I wanted to know her.
