*ATTENTION BITCHES:: I know i said that i imagined emerald as being felice fawn but i did some research on her and found out she's got an eating disorder and alcoholism and a whole bunch of stuff and i don't really wanna promote that so i am changing the actress to the girl who's in like all of my books: taylor momsen. so just pretend emerald now has blonde hair xD so picture of her above and again, imagine that she looks exactly the way she does just 15 years old :)*

ISAAC'S POV::

After I'd explained the task to Emerald she actually understood it and started to complete the work and judging by the shocked faces of other students I figured this didn't happen often. It's a shame that she doesn't care about her education or whatever because she's actually really smart.

I looked up at the clock when the teacher stopped us to see we had ten minutes left. Emerald sat up from where she was hunched over the desk, rapidly writing on her second piece of paper.

The teacher, Mr. Matthews, clapped his hands together before speaking up, "Right, I'm sure you're wondering why I've stopped you so early. There was no way you'd be able to finish these essays in time with proper analysis and what not so I'm assigning it has a partner project. You can choose your partners and it has to be in by the end of next week and no later."

I looked around the room, wondering who I could be with as Charlie, Reece and Harry weren't in this class. I felt someone tap my shoulder so I looked over to see Emerald smiling at me.

"Wanna be with me?" She asked.

"Yeah sure." I smiled; relieved I didn't have to work with some random stranger.

"Oh and, do you wanna hang with me at lunch? 'Cause Ronnie and Kellin aren't in and Matty's busy with head boy things." She sighed.

"If you want me to, I'm not the best company though." I shrugged.

"That's fine, I just don't really like being alone that's all." She laughed slightly.

The blue-eyed girl turned back around and started writing again but not on her essay, she started writing in a black notebook. I leaned over slightly to try and see what it was but I couldn't get close enough to read any of what she was writing down.

* * *

Emerald was in front of me slightly as we walked further and further away from the school. We were on the football pitch at the moment and I have no idea how much further she wanted us to go. She told me that she normally hangs out on the football pitch so I figured we were going to stop soon though.

I was proven right when she just randomly stopped and sat down on the grass. I sat down beside her and watched for a moment as she began picking flowers and making daisy chains before finally speaking up.

"Can I ask you something?" I asked.

"Yeah sure." She looked over at me.

"What was that little black notebook you were writing in earlier?"

She pulled the book out of her open bag and gave it to me before saying, "It's my lyric book. I'm in a band and I'm the lead singer."

I nodded in understanding, looking at the book wondering if I should look inside or not.

"You can read some if you want. There's this one which is like one of the first songs I ever wrote." She took the book from my hands and flipped to a certain page before giving it back to me.

I began reading through the lyrics and in all honesty I was getting kind of emotional towards the end. It was clearly about her father and how he'd never been there.

The bridge really got to me with the words 'is this what you call a family?'. I understood now why she called her dad a dick earlier saying she didn't like him.

"Understand why I'm not a daddy's girl now?" She asked.

I nodded, flipping to another page titled 'If I'm James Dean, Then You're Audrey Hepburn'.

"He's always out getting drunk or fucking some whore. I don't get why he doesn't just leave to be honest. I wanna get away from him though. As soon as my band takes off I'm gone. I'm leaving this fucking place." Emerald sighed, lying down on her back next to me.

"What're you guys called?" I asked.

"Sleeping With Sirens." She answered, letting one arm flop over her eyes to shield them from the sun.

"Can I listen to you?"

"I don't have any songs on my phone, I just had to wipe it. But, we've got a show this weekend supporting a band called Pierce the Veil. The drummer is one of the sixth formers here too; I just don't talk to him that much. You can come to the show if you want, I just don't know if it'd really be your scene." She shrugged.

"Why not?" I frowned.

"We're not a fucking girl band, Isaac. We wanna be rock stars."

*******

sorry for not updating yesterday but i was planning the ending for this and what not and also i had like really bad writers block, i just couldn't figure out how to write this chapter. BUT IT'S DONE NOW.

also, sleeping with sirens' lead singer is obviously kellin quinn (yes this is the kellin in this book, this book is linked with the kellic i'm currently writing hell's angels) but he's got a kinda high-pitch voice so just imagine that it's a girl singing xD

thanks to everyone who's reading this book for voting and what not sooo don't forget to vote and comment :D
