ISAAC'S POV::
I fiddled nervously with the sleeves of my black blazer as I got closer and closer to the school building. My parents had recently moved because of my dad's job and I really wasn't happy about it.
I hated the thought of being the new boy in school and not knowing anyone. Would I be accepted or bullied?
I walked as slowly as possible when I walked through the front gates so that I could try to mentally prepare myself as well as possible. I loosened the purple tie that hung around my neck before rearranging the bag on my back.
I took a deep breath and pulled open the large glass door and walking through it. I looked around at everyone else in the room. Everyone was dressed in the same school uniform as me that was making us look like we belonged in some office building on Wall Street.
As I walked towards the reception desk I could feel more heads turning and eyes looking at me, wondering who this new kid was. I looked at everyone as discreetly as I could, trying to figure out what the different groups were and who I'd fit in with.
When I reached the desk there was a woman who looked to be around 40 with a warm smile on her face.
"Alright love, how can I help you?" She asked.
"Um, I'm new and I need my timetable. I'm Isaac Waddington." I scratched the back of my neck awkwardly.
"Oh right, here's your timetable. The room numbers look confusing but it's quite easy to figure out. Most of your lessons today are on the second floor and so is your Learning Mentor." The woman explained, pointing at some of the things on the piece of paper she handed me.
"Right, thanks." I smiled back at her.
I walked towards the stairs that were on the other side of the atrium to go towards my Learning Mentor. As I began walking up the stairs I looked over at a girl with long black hair who was walking down the stairs.
I honestly think I felt shivers go down my spine when I looked into her icy blue eyes. I didn't even realise I had stopped moving until I felt someone shove my back and say, "Come on mate, move."
"Sorry." I muttered, carrying on up the stairs.
I looked behind me as I walked, trying to find that girl again when I saw her stood at the bottom of the stairs. She had her arms crossed over her chest and she was staring right at me.
She didn't even look away when we made eye contact yet I felt my cheeks heat up slightly before I hurried up, practically jogging up the stairs towards the second floor.

so new book. this is an isaac waddington fic, if you don't know who he is then he's a singer who's currently on britain's got talent and his voice is actually amazing. this is obviously based in england so there may be some terms that you might not know or understand so i'll just put them in my author's notes :)
i had this idea for a fic for a while but i didn't know who to write it about so i decided to write it about isaac.
learning mentor - where you go in the morning in school where they take the register and stuff and they're the person who keeps a check on your attendance and grades and shit. I BELIEVE IN AMERICA IT'S CALLED HOME ROOM.
my author's notes won't normally be this long but like i just had to explain some things in the first chapter. ALSO, the chapter's will get longer, i'm just getting into the flow of the book atm :D.
