ISAAC'S POV::

I was sat in front of my piano when my phone began vibrating against my leg. I pulled it out of my pocket and saw a picture of Emerald on the screen along with her name. I was honestly kind of worried because it was already quite late and she hadn't called me or anything yet.

I quickly answered it and said, "Alright babe?"

"It's not Emerald, it's me Justin. I, um, she's in hospital." Justin answered instead of Emerald.

"What? Why's she in hospital? What the fuck happened?" I panicked.

"I don't know, she had loads to drink. I think she's got alcohol poisoning or something, she's getting her stomach pumped. I just figured I should tell you. I don't expect you to come up here or anything. I'll call you when we find out if she's okay." Justin hung up the phone quickly.

"Sh*t." I whispered.

I didn't know what to do as I sat there for a few minutes just thinking about what I'd heard. I couldn't exactly just go up to Manchester but what else could I do? I needed to see if she was okay.

I pulled up the train times on my phone to find something from London to Manchester. I had some money upstairs for emergencies that I could use, this was definitely an emergency after all.

I'm pretty sure I almost passed out when I checked the prices, I knew I had enough, I just wouldn't have much after this.

I'd have to get an adult ticket; they wouldn't let me on alone if I had a child ticket. I'd also have to leave through my window because if my mum saw me leaving at this time she'd sit me down in an interrogation room and play a game of 20 questions with me.

I quietly made my way up the stairs and pulled out around £200 before shoving some clothes in a bag along with my phone charger and my headphones. I placed a piece of paper on top of my laptop before writing a note on it.

'Gone to Manchester, Emerald's sick. Be back soon.

- Love Isaac.'

I decided to leave out the fact that she had alcohol poisoning because I wasn't sure how my parents would react to that. I grabbed my bag and my phone before opened my window and leaning out to look at the ground.

There was a shed a little to the right around two feet away from my window. If I jumped a little bit I could probably land on the top of it and jump down safely to the actual ground.

I climbed up onto the edge of the window before jumped out to the side without a second thought. I stumbled a little as I landed on top of the shed before sitting down on top of it and pushing myself off, bending my knees as I landed on the paved ground.

I adjusted my bag on my back and zipped up my hoodie before I turned and began walking down the road towards the train station.

* * *

I pretty much ran most of the way to the train station and I'd gotten here with 5 minutes until the train. I couldn't stand still as I waited for the train to arrive.

When it came into the station I wasted no time in jumping on as soon as the doors opened. I felt my phone vibrate in my hand as I sat down and looked at it to see it was my mum.

I debated it for a moment before answering the phone, "Hello?"

"Isaac, what the f*ck do you think you're doing?!" My mum yelled.

"Emerald's really sick, I really need to go, please mum." I argued.

"You should've just told me. We're visiting your aunt Beatrice tomorrow, we could've gone them." She sighed.

"I needed to go up tonight, I'll stay at the hospital and then I'll come to Beatrice's house later tomorrow. I promise." I pleaded.

"Alright, go check on your girl." My mum whispered as the train began to pull away from the station.
