chapter 2

Kate pov: A new day has begun, and I decided to go to the church. Many people joke about my faith in God, but I don't care.. I prayed to God, poured all my feelings and emotions. I felt a new strength in me. I started reciting my everyday prayer which is,

Gracious God,only source of life and health: help,comfort, and relieve me, and give your power of healing to those who minister my needs;that my weakness may be turned to strength and confidence in your loving care;for the sake of jesus Christ, Amen.

After sometime, I walked to the library. I sat near the window and started reading a book. That's when I saw him,

Who hurt and bullied me in the first day of my school . I felt scared, suddenly he looked at me.

Aren't you that new girl, who cried like a zombie , he asked mocking me.

Please leave me alone , I beg you , i didn't do anything to you. I don't even know your name, I replied in a cranky voice.

I'm Alex by the way and what will you do if I don't leave you alone? Are you gonna KILL ME new girl? He asked me in a sarcastic tone.

My name is Kate not some new girl and I hate you so much. What will you ever gain by doing this? I asked helplessly.

As if I love you, I warn you to lower your voice or else, I will do something that you will regret , he replied on a dangerous voice and left.

I screamed at her without no reason. Seeing her cry , makes me feel so sad. My heart screamed this thing isn't right. But my brain didn't allow me to listen to my heart. I bullied many girls in my life, but I never felt bad, this time was different, I felt this was wrong and I Don't know why?

My friends will laugh at me if I say this to them. I can't let my friends down. I have to be away from this crazy feelings.

After sometime I arrived home. Mom! I came home I said. Hey honey , how did your day go, she asked with a smile. It was good mom, thanks. Come on dig in , I made some pancakes your favourite , she said excitedly. My god mom , I love you so much I replied with a mouthful of pancakes.

Love you too baby boy she said laughing. Mom I am not a baby boy anymore, I said pouting. For me you will always be a baby, laughed my mom and I groaned.

After that library event, my self confidence went down just like a slide. I felt so ugly about myself that I started hating my life. I even tried to suicide myself,  but then I remembered God's words "do not destroy your life". I felt ashamed on myself that I was about to disrespect God's words.

To calm my mind from all this negative feelings, I started to read the bible. The God's words always relaxed and strengthen me not to give up on your life. After dressing up, I went to the balcony. The sunset is my favourite part of the day.

It reminds me of my favourite quote that says. " sunsets are proof that no matter what happens every day can end beautifully.

NARRATOR- Kate is a quite and an innocent girl, no matter what she endures all the pain. She never complains or tell her mom about it. She hides her pain behind a beautiful smile. But her heart suffers every day from all the bulling. She cries, but nobody came to her help. Meanwhile Alex was her opposite.

Since I bullied that new girl, I feel something really bad is gonna happen in the future. When I saw her tears running through her cheeks, I felt like my heart was ripping apart. I wasn't person like this before, but after my dad checked on my mom everything changed.

I started to hate everything. My mom knew that chapter had affected my life a lot. But my mom doesn't know that this incident made me to start bulling people. She doesn't know me being a bad boy either. I am not planning on telling her, because I don't want to break her heart again.

Her heart is already broken by dad. Anyway my friends are coming today so I have to get ready , by taking a quick shower. As soon as I came our of the bathroom the door bell rang.

Hi guys come in ,I said cheerfully.

Hey bro what's up ? Asked Jason

I'm fine bro, what's up Lucas? I asked from my best friend's brother.

I'm good bro, we had so much fine bulling that little girl , hadn't we? Asked Lucas.

Indeed we did , it was so much fun , I said laughing .

Did you guys see that poor girl's face, that was worth of watching. I think now I know why are you so famous bro Jason said grinning at me.

Thanks for your loving compliments, I said mocking him. Now enough of bulling stories , come on let's play a game.

Ahhh, I have an idea, let's play truth or dare. First question from Alex , so truth or dare, he asked smirking .

I'm always a dareing person, there is nothing in this world I can't do, I replied with pride.

Okay then , I dare you to date Kate for 6 months and break up with her, deal Jason asked me with a serious face.

I'm sure you will do that bro, it's not like you haven't break any one's heart yet, Lucas said.

Sure I will do this, what an easy task. you guys know that I don't believe in love and stuff like that. So don't worry. I will wn this dare, wait and watch. That girl is so nice and innocent so she will definitely believe me. I said proudly.

I have no doubt in you bro, you will finish this  dare in no time, Lucas said.

Come on let's proceed with the game now , Jason said.

We played and laughed until the midnight.
