𝐇𝐄𝐍𝐑𝐘 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐓.

Within the marked area of yellow tape, wet blood glistened beneath the hot sun of many eyes crowding and gossiping about someone many surprisingly knew. He must've been fucked for exam week, someone said. Probably another scandal daddy can't buy him out of again, another said. Even in the end, Henry knew how to seek attention and evoke sympathy, one said with a taste of bitterness.

Blood thrashed the cracks between concrete the janitor struggled to powerwash out. A deep stain that would take days to clean out unless they replace the entire walkway.

        You idiot.

Henry Benoit decided to jump off the highest building on campus instead of keeping his bargain of the deal. A friend group walking back from a Halloween party discovered Henry's body and reported it immediately, but when they returned with the authorities, Henry's body was gone. He transitioned. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Still currently missing all weekend, but still alive. In a sense.

"He's not dead." Deena blurted and Quinn looked at her friend with furrowed brows. "He's alive. Henry's alive."

"What do you mean he's alive? What did you do?"

        "Something stupid."

Deena left Quinn with her thoughts, catching sight of Roma inspecting the crowded commotion. Her heart stopped beating and an uncomfortable but confusing feeling stirred inside. It was the first time seeing her in person after two years and she was still pretty. Still athletically built with dark wavy hair mid-back, and she still wore her turtle bracelet.

She used to room together with Quinn since Deena wasn't an available option, but because they submitted their application around different times, plus outgrowing matters, they were unable to stay together this time around. It was mentioned somewhere she was on the same floor. They hadn't run into each other until now.
