Ariel is glad to be getting away from Ohio that Friday evening as she gets to go to someone that can either make or break her. Jeff has the CD with her demo's on them. On Saturday morning, Ariel, Sebastian, Trent, Nick, David, Jeff and Thad are standing outside Big Machine Records. Ariel made the appointment to see them today at 10 am and Ariel is trying to get out of seeing them because she is scared and she doesn't want to know that she won't make it as a singer and songwriter.

It was 9.58 by the time Sebastian managed to get Ariel inside the building by dragging her in as she didn't want to be in there for fear of being rejected by them. Sebastian walks up to the counter with his arm wrapped around Ariel's waist to prevent her from running off and says "We have an appointment to see Scott Borchetta."

"Name?" The receptionist asks.

"Ariel Hummel," Ariel says.

"Alright. You'll be on the 4th floor and he'll be waiting for you by the elevator," the receptionist says.

"Thanks," Ariel says.

"You can't get out of this now," Sebastian says. They both walk over to the elevator with the boys in tow and when they get inside Ariel presses the button for the 4th floor.

"I'm scared. What happens if he says no?" Ariel questions Sebastian.

"Then we'll find you somewhere else to get the record deal. Even if we have to fly to somewhere else in the country," Sebastian says.

Before Ariel can say anything else, the elevator door opens to reveal Scott Borchetta standing waiting for them. "Alright. Ariel Hummel I assume," Scott says.

"Yes that's me," Ariel says.

"Alright. Your friends can wait out here for you while we go into my office to talk," Scott says.

"Okay," Ariel says before turning to the boys and saying "I'll see you in a bit."

Jeff then hands the CD to Ariel before she walks into Scott's office after him. Scott walks around his desk and sits in his chair and points to the seat opposite him in front of his desk. "Have a seat, Ms Hummel."

"Thanks for having me," Ariel says while sitting down.

"So how long have you been making music Ms Hummel?" Scott says.

"I've been writing music since I was 13 sir. I wrote my first song when I was at boarding school in Paris," Ariel exclaims. "It's also the other song on the demo I kinda made."

"What do you mean you kinda made?" Scott asks.

"My friend recorded me singing last weekend and he said that he would burn it onto the disk for me," Ariel says.

"Was he the one that stood next to you in the elevator?" Scott asks.

"No that was my boyfriend Sebastian Smythe. Jeff was the blonde one," Ariel explains.

"So why do you want this record deal?" Scott asks.

"Ever since I began writing my songs, I knew that I wanted to be a singer when I am older and I just want my music out there for everyone to listen and I just need help getting the right publicity for the songs so that I can have help producing music video's for them," Ariel explains.

"Ok, that sounds pretty convincing but before I do anything I would like to listen to the demo songs if you have brought them with you," Scott says.

"Yes, I have the disc right here," Ariel says while handing over the CD to Scott. "I'm just going to get my boyfriend as if I have to sign any documents I want him to look over them before I sign anything."
