Chapter 13

Lloyd's POV

~Flashback~

I'm kneeling on the floor of the kitchen, with my hand under the fridge and a broken jar of sweets by my side. The sweets, themselves, were in a new, plastic container next to the pile of glass.

"Come... On...!" I groan as I strain my arm further under the fridge. "God Dangit!"

I remove my arm and just peek under the fridge where a peppermint wrapped sweet lay, just outta reach. Sitting there. Taunting me with its sweetness, if that was even possible.

"Whatcha Doing, Ya Little Gremlin?" A voice asked.

I look up to see Kai leaning against the doorframe with his arms crossed and a cocky grin on his lips.

"I dropped my jar of sweets and one of my favourite ones rolled under the fridge." I explain. "I can't reach it. I'd ask Cole to move the fridge for me but he went out with Zane to get more groceries and wont be back for atleast another hour."

"Are you that desperate to get the lolly?"

"Are You Seriously Asking Me That?"

"Yep."

"Are You Gonna Help Me Or Just Continue To Stand There And Look Pretty?"

"I think I'll stand here and look pretty." Kai smirled as he closed his eye and flipped his fringe.

"Kaiiiii!" I whine as I sit back on my knees.

"Ok, Ok...! I'm just playing with ya, greenie! Now scootch."

I move out of the way so Kai can lean down. After a few moments, he pulls his hand out and opens his palm to reveal the peppermint wrapped candy.

"Thanks, Kai!" I exclaim as I take the sweet, give him a hug, pick up the rest of my stash and race out. "I Owe You One!"

~Flashback Over~

3rd POV

Lloyd wandered around the village with Skylor and their assistants; Lizzy the Lizard Hybrid and Mitsie the Mouse Hybrid. As Lloyd was looking around, he notice a little kid with sandy fox like ears jumping up and down by a small house; the string of a kite just outta their reach. Everytime they jump, they just brush the string with their hands but it never seems to be enough to get a grip.

Skylor and Mitsie are looking at a stall that was selling beaded bracelets so Lloyd used it as an opportunity to sneak away. Lizzie seemed to notice his departure and slithers after him. When they reach the kid, the blonde boy stood next to the child and grab the kite before handing it to them.

"Here you go!" He smiled.

"Ah-?!" The kid gasped. "Thanks Mister!"

"No problem."

Once the kid scampered off, Lizzy was smirking at the green ninja.

"That was very nice of you, Mister Green Ninja." She began.

"Heh..." The latter began as he olaced a hand on the back of his neck. "I guess it just reminded me of the time a friend helped me out when I was in a similar situation. And please call me Lloyd."

"Right. Sorry." The duo continued to ealk around the village, manuvering around people every now and then as Lizzy continued. "You and your friends talk alot about your friend. What happened to him?"

"He left on a 'personal journey' over a month ago." Lloyd continued. "I didnt even get to say goodbye to him as he left before I even woke up, the morning her left. He didnt give any indication as to where he had gone to. Not even our sensei, whom knew Kai had left, knew where he went."
