A year has passed.
A year since Kai's death.
A year since everything.
A lot of stuff had happened; Zane proposed to Pixal, Nya and Jay are now married. Lloyd and Harumi were now offical and even Cole had found someone. Skylor was happy. Happy for her friends but jealous? that she couldn't have her love.
She had taken something from him though. All of his jackets that still smell like him. The others would sometimes find her sitting in the fire master's old room in the monastery. Master Wu would close the room off so no one could enter as the man was still grieving himself.
Nya moved into Jay's room, but it was only temporary as the two newly weds were house hunting. Skylor now has Nya's old room but it didn't feel like home without her boyfriend.
"Hey, you." came a voice.
"Hey, Nya..." Skylor smiled softly as she turned.
"You alright?"
"I'm fine..." Skylor ran her hand over the dusty shelves. "I just miss him..."
"I know... I miss him too."
Skylor cast her gaze back to the woman and saw her head turned down and away as she fiddled with her wedding ring. It was a dilver band with a ruby ontop.
"He'd be very proud of you, ya know." Skylor began as she placed a hand on Nya's shoulder. "He always told me that, no matter how much he hated Jay, he still couldn't have been happier to have him as a brother-in-law."
"And I'm glad you are my sister-in-law."
"But I'm not married to Kai..."
"But you're still my sister."
The two young women smiled and wandered out, in search of the rest of the team...
