The next morning, I woke up and began getting ready. I took a quick shower and then quickly got dressed. I brushed my hair and my teeth before heading downstairs for breakfast. Vicky had made the two of us waffles. I ate mine quickly before getting up and grabbing my traveling cloak. It was quarter to noon and I was anxious to get there. "Okay, before we get all excited and lose our heads, let's make sure we have everything." Vicky told me. She reached into her pocket and pulled out my letter and a sack of coins. "Okay, I have the list and money from your vault." She told me.
"That's all we need." I told her. Vic nodded.
"Great! We have everything. Get your shoes on and let's go." She told me. I grabbed my converse from the shoe rack, put them on, and tied them up. Vicky and I then walked out of the house to the end of the driveway. From there, we apperated into Diagon Alley and began to search for our friends. "Now, if I were Molly and Arthur Weasley and I knew I had a long day of shopping ahead of me, I would want to go to the most stressful place first." Vicky said. She looked around at all of the shops before smiling. "Aha! Flourish and Blotts looks to be quite busy." I turned my head and looked in the direction of the shop. There were a lot of people in line to even get in the store! Vicky and I began to walk that way.
When we reached the line, I began looking all around for a bunch of red headed people. After a few minutes of searching, I saw one that looked extremely familiar."Vicky, I found them." I told her. I then began to lead the way. As we got closer, I saw more and more of the Weasley family. At a certain point, I couldn't contain my excitement anymore. I began to run until I got to the Weasley boy I had first seen. "Ron!" I said with a bright smile on my face. Ron turned around and smiled when he saw me.
"Emily!" Ron then held out his arms and we embraced in a hug. Ron had grown a few inches over the time we'd spent apart. Before break, I was only an inch or two shorter than him. Now, I was a good three or four. Ron's voice had also gotten deeper and he looked slightly older. We then pulled away and I was greeted by the rest of the Weasleys.
"Oh, Emily dear! How lovely to see you!" Mrs. Weasley said when she saw me. She and I embraced in a hug before pulling away. "I do hope you've been well this summer?"
"Definitely. Victoria made sure of it." I told her. Mrs. Weasley then looked behind me and spotted Vicky.
"Oh! Victoria! How lovely to see you." She said, walking over.
"You as well." Vicky replied. My attention was then drawn away by a tap on each shoulder. I turned back around to see two identical red heads standing in front of me.
"Fred, George, it's so great to see you!" I said, wrapping them both up in a hug.
"You as well." Fred told me.
"We've missed you, Snowflake." George told me.
"I've missed you guys too. Didn't get into too much trouble this summer, did you?" I asked.
"Not as much as we could've." George told me.
"Or as much as we wanted to." Fred continued. I laughed.
"You guys are something else." I told them. The twins both gave me an innocent, yet mischievous smile.
"Oh, Emily." Ron said, recollection in his tone. I turned back around to see Ron and a younger girl standing next to him. She had the same red hair as the rest of the Weasley family. "This is my little sister, Ginny. She'll be a first year this year." I smiled at her.
"Hi, Ginny. I'm Emily." I told her.
"Hi." She said while returning my smile.
"Also, I forgot to mention, Hermione's here too. I think they're in one of the back corners." Ron told me. I nodded.
