The next morning, I woke up and began getting ready for the day. Hermione had gotten up before me and was halfway finished with her morning routine. While we both finished getting ready, I told her what the boys told me. Hermione did not take the news well. "How idiotic, honestly! They couldn't have waited for Mr. and Mrs. Weasley?" Hermione asked, I shrugged.

"They were worried about them not being able to get back through." I told her.

"I know that. But eventually they would make it back through and then they would know how to get the boys to Hogwarts. Instead, they steal a flying car and think it's a bright idea to fly it to school. No wonder they weren't put into Ravenclaw!" I just nodded and continued getting ready. Once we both finished, we headed down to the Common Room. The boys weren't down there so we figured we would meet them down in the Great Hall.
When we got down there, Hermione and I put some food on our plates before both putting books up to read. We had both grabbed a copy of Voyages with Vampires by Professor Lockhart. "Morning." I heard Hermione say stiffly. I looked up to see that the boys had come to join us. The two sat across from us. I smiled at the boys before going back to my book.

"Hi, Harry." Came a voice. A flash of light came from behind me. Harry, who had just been turning to look at the boy, had a look of shock on his face. I bit my lip to suppress my laugh. "I'm Colin Creevey. I'm in Gryffindor too."

"Oh, hi, Colin. Nice to meet you." Harry told him.

"Oh, Colin." I said turning around. "I should have the Developing Potion done by tomorrow morning. I'm hoping to work on it after my classes today." I told him.

"You remembered?" He asked. I nodded.

"Of course." I told him. "I told you I would make some for you."

"Well, I just thought since I was a Muggle-Born that you would be ashamed to be helping me." He told me. I sighed as I realized he had heard what Draco said.

"Colin, listen. My cousin is a complete idiot. Hermione here," I said, pointing to Hermione, "is also a Muggle-Born and she's one of the brightest witches I've ever met. Being Muggle-Born doesn't make you less than, just like being Pure-Blood doesn't make you superior. Draco has old, outdated logic stuck in his head. Don't let people like him bring you down." I told him. Colin smiled and nodded. "Good." I told him. I then looked back over at my friends and saw Harry looking at me with a smile on his face. I made eye contact and smiled at him, butterflies filling my stomach.

"Ron, is that your owl?" I heard Dean ask. I looked up to see a great grey owl flying towards us. While attempting to land, the owl crashed into the bowl of granola, spilling it everywhere. Colin's camera flashed signalling he had taken a picture of the clumsy landing.

"Bloody bird's a menace." Ron said. He then took the red envelope out of the owl's mouth. He took one look at it and all the color drained from his face. His owl then stood up and flew away. "Oh, no." Ron said.

"Look, everyone. Weasley's got himself a Howler." Seamus said. Ron looked around as people at the Gryffindor and Slytherin table laughed.

"Go on, Ron. I ignored one from my gran once. It was horrible." Neville told him. Ron, with shaking hands, turned the letter around and opened it.

"RONALD WEASLEY!" Came Mrs. Weasley's voice. Ron dropped the Howler and it flew up and created a mouth-like shape. "HOW DARE YOU STEAL THAT CAR! I AM ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED! YOUR FATHER'S NOW FACING AN INQUIRY AT WORK AND IT'S ENTIRELY YOUR FAULT! IF YOU PUT ANOTHER TOE OUT OF LINE WE'LL BRING YOU STRAIGHT HOME!" The Howler stopped and turned to face down the table. "Oh, and, Ginny, dear, congratulations on making Gryffindor. Your father and I are so proud." Ginny was looking down, embarrassed by the acknowledgement. The Howler turned back to Ron and 'spit' in his face before tearing itself up. Ron looked all around the silent hall, unsure of what to do.
