Early update because it's my birthday! Hope you enjoy! :) <3

The next morning, I found myself in the Quidditch changes room. It was the first game of the season, and we were playing Slytherin. Despite our teams success in the past, the Slytherin's news brooms gave us nerves. Oliver had us all gathered around him for his usual pre-game speech. "Slytherin has better brooms than us," he began. "No point denying it. But we've got better people on our brooms. We've trained harder than they have, we've been flying in all weathers-"

"Too true." George said. "I haven't been properly dry since August." I gave a small, nervous laugh at his comment.

"And we're going to make them rue the day they let that little ball of slime, Malfoy, buy his way onto the team." Oliver told us. He then turned to Harry. "It'll be down to you, Harry, to show them that a Seeker has to have something more than a rich father. Get to that Snitch before Malfoy or die trying, Harry, because we have to win today. We've got to." I knew Oliver was serious about Quidditch, but I didn't realize how intense his passion was.

"So no pressure, Harry." Fred joked. Harry gave him a half-hearted smile. Oliver then had us line up to leave the changing rooms. Harry and I stood next to each other, our brooms stood up next to us. I looked over at Harry and saw he looked a bit nervous.

"You alright, Harry?" I asked. Harry's blue eyes landed on mine and butterflies erupted in my stomach. He smiled.

"Fine." He said, faking his confidence.

"Don't worry." I told him. "You're the best Seeker Hogwarts has ever seen. Draco may have a better broom than you, but he wouldn't be able to spot the Snitch if it was right in front of his face. You're a brilliant Seeker, Harry, truly. You've got this." Harry opened his mouth to respond, but his voice was cut off by the cheers of the students as the door opened for us to enter the pitch.
The Gryffindor and Slytherin team flew into the pitch. Oliver and the Slytherin Keeper flew over to the goals. Us Chasers and the Beaters lined up across from one another. Harry and Draco flew a bit above us.

"On my whistle. Three...two...one." Madam Hooch blew her whistle and we were off. My eyes were locked on the Quaffle, and I was the first one to reach it.

"Despite Slytherin's new brooms, Gryffindor Chaser, Emily White, has managed to get the first position of the Quaffle." Lee announced. I flew towards the Slytherin goal. Suddenly, Flint and Pucey were to my right. Montague was to my left. Last year, they would've never caught me, but with their new and faster brooms, it was much easier for them to catch up to me. I did a quick dive down as they flew towards me. Instead of crushing me, the three Chasers smashed into one another. I soared out ahead of them and was almost to the goal. "White pulls a fast one past the Slytherin Chasers, making her way to the Slytherin's goal post."
The Slytherin Keeper watched me closely as I approached. I shifted my broom towards the right and wound up, appearing to be throwing at the right goal hoop. The Keeper took the bait and flew to cover the hoop. I smirked to myself before adjusting my aim and firing at the left goal hoop. The Keeper attempted to fly over and stop it, but the Quaffle flew through the ring before he even got close.

"YES!" I shouted.

"WHITE SCORES! That's the first goal of the season for the team and for White. Her trickery has earned the lead for Gryffindor, the score is ten to nothing." Angelina and Katie flew over and both gave me high fives.

A half an hour later, the game had completely shifted. The Slytherin team was playing just as dirty as always, but with their brooms, it made it that much harder to get past it. Slytherin had been so successful the score was a pitiful thirty to eighty in favor of them. Angelina was flying with the Quaffle towards the Slytherin goal post. Katie and I were near, ready for a pass or to offer protection. Suddenly, Montague was behind her and flying at her, fast. I attempted to get over to Angelina before he could, but he beat me to it. He hit the Quaffle that she was cradling in her arms and it flew way out in front of her. Katie attempted to get to it and grab it, but Flint beat her to it. He and Montague began flying back towards our post. Flint turned his head and looked back to see Montague. He tossed it back to him and the two continued to fly towards our goal post. I was trying to catch up to them, but their brooms were too fast.
