The last two weeks of summer seemed to fly by. The next thing I knew, I was on platform nine and three-quarters, saying goodbye to Vicky. "Oh, my big second year!" She said while squeezing me.
"Vicky." I laughed, my breathing restricted from how tight she was holding me.
"Sorry, I just miss you when you're gone." She told me.
"I miss you too." I told her. "But I promise I'll write as much as I can and I'll tell you everything!"
"Me too." She told me. The whistle of the train blew, letting us know we only had a few more minutes. "I guess I better let you go." Vicky gave me one last, extremely tight, squeeze before letting me go. "Just, try to stay out of trouble. All four of you." She told me. I shrugged.
"I'll try, but I can't promise anything." I joked. Vicky gave me a look.
"Go catch your train." She smiled. I wrapped my arms around her and gave her one last hug.
"I love you." I told her.
"I love you, too." She told me. We then both let go of one another and I hopped onto the train. A minute later, the wheels began moving and the train started on the long trip back to Hogwarts.
I stayed in one of the windows and waved goodbye to Vicky until I couldn't see her anymore. I then began walking, trying to find one of my friends. It wasn't long until I found the compartment Hermione was in. I knocked on the window and waved at my friend. Hermione jumped up, a huge smile on her face, and unlocked the door. I then stepped inside and locked the door behind me. I then turned and gave my best friend a big hug."I know it's only been two weeks, but I missed you." I told her.
"I missed you, too." She told me. We then pulled away from one another and sat down across from each other.
"So, are the boys in here as well?" I asked, assuming they may have gone to say hi to some others or have gone to the bathroom. Hermione shook her head.
"No. I haven't seen them since we were all in Diagon Alley." She told me.
"Huh, me either." I told her. "Should we go look for them?" Hermione nodded. The two of us then exited our compartment and began walking down the train.
The fifth compartment we came across contained two boys, both were red-headed. I knocked on the door and waited for one of them to open it. Fred pulled the door open and gestured for Hermione and I to enter. The two of us stood by the door while the boys stayed seated. "Have either of you seen Harry or Ron?" I asked."I saw them just before we got onto the platform. Haven't seen them since." George said.
"Same here." Fred told us.
"I guess we'll have to keep looking." Hermione said. I nodded.
"Thanks guys." I told them as we opened the compartment door again.
"Of course, Snowflake." George said.
"We'll see you later." said Fred. We then closed the door and continued walking down the train and looking through the different compartments for the boys.
We walked the entire train, even running into a few unfriendly faces, before Hermione and I had to admit defeat. We walked back to our compartment and sat down. "I just don't understand. Where could they be?" I asked. Hermione shrugged.
"I don't know, but I hope they're all right." She said. I nodded in agreement. We then sat there for a while, thinking.
"What happens if they've missed the train?" I blurted.
"I'm not sure. I would assume that Mr. and Mrs. Weasley would figure out how to get them to Hogwarts. That or the school would figure something out." Hermione told me.
