Rhaellanne was woken up not long after she had fallen asleep by the distant roar of a dragon, and not a dragon of hers or her family's. She glanced around and realised that Daemon was no longer next to her and she could see the vague outline of him standing by the water, so Rhaellanne slipped her black dress and coat back on and went to join him

In the distance, against the dark knight, she could see the dragon that was roaring as it was easily distinguishable by its deep roar, massive wings, and green colour, Vhagar, the dragon that had been Laena's

However, now it seemed she had a new rider because other wise she would not fly, as she had become so domesticated like some other Targaryen dragons. "Who is it?" she whispered

"Aemond" replied Daemon. It was just like that troublesome child, greedy and uncaring, like his mother. Of course Vhagar was eventually going to get another rider, but for the child to claim her so soon after her last rider's funeral was horrible to Rhaellanne. "Come" said Daemon, taking his wife's hand "Let's go back inside"

Rhaellanne nodded sadly and allowed him to pull her along the long beach and back towards Driftmark, and as they entered the building they expected it to be silent and dark, so they were surprised to see people running around in a panic

"Princess! Prince!" cried one of the guards "You must get to the Great Hall of Nine at once. There has been an incident with the young princes and princess"

The pair shared a panicked look and began to run to the hall and when they got inside, they immediately searched for their children. Inside was Alicent, Viserys, Aegon, Aemond, Corlys Rhaenys, Bennard, Baela, Rhaena, Jace, Luke, Criston Cole, Ser Roderick, Heleana, and several other guards and Maesters

The most noticeable thing though were the injuries visible on all the children. Aemond's was clearly the worst since he was having a gash stitched up on his face, but Lyanna was having stitches sewn into her jaw, Baelor had a bust lip and bloody fist, Jace had blood dripping down the side of his face, Luke had a broken nose with blood pouring out, Baela had a bruise on her cheekbone and a cut above her eyebrow, and Rhaena sported a black eye

"Lyanna! Baelor!" cried Rhaellanne and she hurried towards them

Lyanna had a deep wound on her jawline, going up towards her ear, and she winced every time the Maester put the needle back into her skin and Daemon clenched his jaw angrily. His children were his pride and joy and anyone who dared to touch them would face his wrath.

He clapped Baelor on the shoulder and asked "What happened?"

However, his answer did not come because the door to the Hall opened again, and this time Rhaenyra came inside and she raced towards Luke and Jace.

She looked just as confused as everyone else, and Daemon raised his voice "Will someone tell me what has happened?"

Immediately all of the children began to hurl out accusations and curses, their little voices shouting over the top of each other.

"They attacked me!"

"He attacked Baela!"

"He broke Luke's nose!"

"He stole my mother's dragon!"

"He threatened to hurt me!"

"She punched me!"

"He was gonna kill Jace!"

"I didn't do anything!"

"It should be my son telling the tale!"

"He called us-!"

"Silence!" roared Viserys and the children all fell silent.

Jace, however, used the opportunity to finally say his piece to his mother and he whispered "He called us bastards." Rhaenyra's face dropped, and Rhaellanne was standing close enough to hear him, and she clenched her fist angrily.
