Lilithia glared at Satan Asiul the whole ride, for the latter had tried to dodge her question about Fluff. Lilithia gave up soon after Satan Asiul pretended to fall asleep. She pondered about what happened to Hord Kayleigh. She would have never thought that the Hord of Alerk has changed, and in just a day. I wonder what happened to her.
The carriage stopped, and the satan still pretended to be asleep. Lilithia sighed. She reached for Satan Asiul's shoulder and gave it a few taps.
"Asiul, we're here," Lilithia whispered in the left ear of Satan Asiul, causing the latter's eyes to open in a flash.
Satan Asiul gave Lilithia a gentle push, "We-we're he-here. Ahem, let's get going, shall we?"
Satan Asiul escorted Lilithia down the carriage, and with a big smirk, she fixed her collar. Satan Asiul stormed inside the hord's mansion while Lilithia apologized to the maids and the butlers. Just because she's the satan. Lilithia felt a headache coming.
"KAYLEIGH!" Satan Asiul shouted as she burst open the door.
There Hord Kayleigh was, staring at her — no more like in a daydream state. Lilithia closed the door on behalf of the satan, who was rather shocked than angry.
"Asiul, what happened to her?" Lilithia asked.
It really seemed as if Hord Kayleigh was out-of-it and was in no state of finishing any paperwork.
"That's what I would like to know," Satan Asiul crossed her arms.
A knock was heard. Satan Asiul opened the door with a rather amused face. She's using her authority again. Lilithia sighed.
"You're here, Satan Asiul. Thank you for coming," Rafine, Hord Kayleigh's secretary, greeted.
"Hord Kayleigh has been like this the whole day. She hasn't been looking through the documents that needed to be approved by tomorrow," Rafine wiped her glasses.
Satan Asiul's face was fuming red. She can't believe that her dear friend has been once again heartbroken by a stupid bitch. She had always had a bad feeling from Azul — she never trusted her.
"Stupid," Satan Asiul mumbled.
Satan Asiul walked towards the couch and gestured for Rafine and Lilithia to join her. A maid brought them tea and a few snacks.
"Can you elaborate on what happened yesterday?" Satan Asiul asked as she leaned back.
She was too tired, and would definitely not want to take over her dear friend's work. Satan Asiul glanced at Hord Kayleigh. Still in a daydream, huh?
"Hm? Oh! Asiul! What brings you here?" Hord Kayleigh said, filled with enthusiasm.
She turned her head and saw Lilithia standing, then waved at her, "Lilithia too!"
Satan Asiul's eyes burned with fire. She clenched her fists before pointing her index finger at her dear friend, Hord Kayleigh.
"Start explaining! What happened yesterday? You've been daydreaming all day," Satan Asiul crossed her leg, waiting for Hord Kayleigh's explanation.
Hord Kayleigh's face fell, worry filled her eyes. Hord Kayleigh breathed deeply as if she had not inhale fresh oxygen for days. It's as if she was being troubled by something that she's not allowed to let anyone know — even the great satan herself.
"Kayleigh, spit it out. Is it Azul again? I can't believe you're letting her in your heart again after all these times," Satan Asiul, who was royally pissed, said.
To their surprise, Hord Kayleigh smiled.
"That's so funny, Asiul. No, I'm completely over her," Hord Kayleigh cheekily said as she fixed her perfectly combed hair and her collar.
