"Care to dance with me?" a certain man asked, who stood beside Satan Asiul.
Lilithia looked at the man, astonished. Typically, one should have introduced themselves first before asking for dance. Naturally, Lilithia already had her answer.
"I apologize, but I already have reserved my first dance to Satan Asiul. We barely even know each other," Lilithia politely declined.
To her surprise, Satan Asiul whispered in her ear, "Accept his dance."
Lilithia felt her heart ache. I hate this feeling. She should have listened to Shelby's advice. Maybe, her thoughts were just playing with her. Why should I be sad anyway?
The demons inside the ball were looking at Lilithia and the other demon as they danced elegantly. It's as if they were surprised how popular of a demon the newcomer would be. Everyone's eyes were on them, even the two hords.
Lilithia followed the gentleman's lead; he led the dance smoothly. Lilithia's eyes wandered to the man's facial features; he had small eyes and thin lips. He had very little tiny beard hair on his chin. Despite having blue skin, his unique orange hair made him look very charming.
The man kept smiling as he guided Lilithia, not knowing how the latter had been observing him.
Everyone inside thought that they were the epitome pair of a couple, that is until a particular green-eyed merchant presented himself.
"Hello again, Lady Lilithia. May a merchant such as myself be honored with a dance?" Heiden asked, bowing his head.
This got many gasping, even Satan Asiul felt her veins popping.
"Heiden, nice meeting you here," Lilithia casually answered.
Heiden stood tall, and with a smile, he gracefully asked again, "May I be honored with a day with my lady," before winking.
Lilithia nodded her head, "Alright, Heiden, you win."
Heiden offered his hand and grabbed Lilithia smoothly before twirling her and starting to lead the dance. Despite the handsomeness of Heiden, Lilithia's eyes were glued to Satan Asiul's face, who was sipping her wine. Stop looking. Stop staring. Right then and there, their eyes met; Lilithia felt her heart skip a beat. She then looked away, afraid that Satan Asiul might notice how her eyes were always on a hunt for a certain redhead. Why do my eyes always have a way to search for you? Lilithia's eyes tried to focus on Heiden's handsome features that most female demons would die for. Unfortunately, her eyes slowly drifted towards the corner, where Satan Asiul was formerly standing, only to find that the satan wasn't there anymore. Lilithia felt her heart quickened, her palms starting to sweat. Lilithia's eyes scanned the dance floor and each and every corner of the ballroom; finally, she saw Satan Asiul. It's such a mystery indeed. The satan was speaking to her friend, Shelby.
Heiden, who felt uncomfortable with Lilithia's constant glancing, smiled before quickly finishing their dance. He thanked Lilithia for accepting his request, and indeed, Lilithia bid him goodbye before running off right away to Satan Asiul. You should take care of her for me, Satan Asiul.
Lilithia walked towards the direction of Satan Asiul, who was speaking with Hord Vays. They were only having a casual chat about the recent appearance of new demons given by The Above.
"I wonder whether the surplus of angels is one of the main causes for the recent increase of demons we've been having recently," a voice asked.
"What do you think?" Hord Vays pointed to Lilithia with his lips.
"Hm?"
Satan Asiul asked Lilithia about the sudden increase of demons; sadly, Lilithia shook her head.
