"He…w….up?"

"H…ok…p?"

"He..wok…up?"

"He woke up?!"

Camilo's voice blasted through my ears.

"Yes, Camilo. Now quiet down before you wake him up." Pa warned.

"Too late." I said sitting up begrudgingly.

"YOU'RE OKAY!" Camilo yelled out, wrapping his arms tightly around me.

"Y-Yeah I'm fine!"

"I was so worried that you- that," Camilo shook his head, "Don't ever do something like that again."

I tilted my head to the side slightly, confused by his statement.

"Now, Now, Camilo. If anyone is going to scold him it should be me." Pa chuckled, quickly placing his hand on my shoulder, "Don't ever do anything like that again." He deadpanned.

I let out some nervous laughter trying to figure out just what was going on.

The house

Casita

Something was wrong

And Mira tried to grab the candle and

"WHERE IS MIRABEL?!?" I jumped up ready to run.

Both Pa and Camilo grabbed my arms and sat me back down.

"She's alright, mi hijo…" I could hear the painstaking grin he was putting on, "...probably." he quietly added.

"We don't know where she is?"

"No, but we'll find her! My whole family is out looking for her and has been since Casita fell."

"And how long exactly has that been?"

"About a day?" Pa said, scratching his head.

"When was the last time anyone saw her?"

Camilo gritted his teeth,"Right after she yelled your name."

"Let me try to find her."

I demanded yet I could feel the glares I was getting.

"Absolutely not, young man. You are hurt."

"I'm sure I'm not THAT hurt."

"You have a hemorrhage from a blunt force head injury." His gaze passing through me.

I paused in shock, my mouth agape.

"That doesn't sound good." I laughed. A few drops of sweat starting to slide down my forehead.

"You don't say." Pa responded in a mocking tone.
I moved my head in a circular motion and scoffed.

"She couldn't have gone too far, right?"

"I don't know." Camilo sighed, "Let's just focus on one thing at a time for now. How are you feeling?"

"Like I said before, I feel fine."

"What about your arm?"

"What about it?"

"Does it burn?"

What an interesting question. There's no way that Pa told him about what's been happening, right?

"No, it doesn't?"

"Can I see it?"

I tilted my head in confusion once more. Why would he want to see my arm?
After a bit of hesitation, I raised my arm up and into a 90 degree angle. This got Camilo to chuckle a bit before placing his hand slightly below my wrist. He moved his thumb upwards and started circling a spot.
