Standing at the end of the alley, Diego observed Myra as she made her way back towards him, her steps slow and thoughtful. He could tell from her expression that she was lost deep in her thoughts. Patiently, he waited for her to reach him so he could inquire about what was occupying her mind.

However, his attention was abruptly diverted by something unusual. A large dustbin positioned a short distance away from Myra, toppled over and crashed onto the ground. Diego furrowed his brow, finding the incident peculiar, as he was certain that something had fallen from above, causing the dustbin to roll.

His gaze then shifted upward, and what he witnessed left him stunned. There, on the edge of the building's terrace, was a sizable piece of wood that had come loose and plummeted downwards. Acting instinctively, he sprinted towards Myra and enveloped her in his arms, shielding her from the impending danger.

The massive piece of wood crashed onto his head, but he remained steadfast, determined to protect Myra from harm. As the commotion settled, Myra slowly opened her eyes, realizing the stillness that surrounded her. Her gaze fell upon the colossal piece of wood now lying on the ground.

Then, her eyes shifted to the person who held her tightly in his embrace, and she was overcome with shock. Diego's face was partially covered in blood, and a deep gash marred his forehead.

He saved me again...

The people around were murmuring with each other about the scene they witnessed a few minutes ago that how a guy saved the girl from a big accident as he stood there with an injury on his head completely unaffected.

Myra remained seated in the parked car, her gaze fixed on Diego, who stood before her with a solemn expression etched on his face. Yet, it was the wound on his head that drew her attention even more. Once again, he had saved her, sacrificing his own well-being in the process.

Concerned for his welfare, she suggested that he go to the hospital for treatment. However, he adamantly refused, instead ordering his men to locate the individual responsible for the incident. His own injury seemed insignificant compared to ensuring her safety.

A single thought of harm befalling his little moon enraged him, fueling a primal desire to eliminate any threat that could potentially hurt her. Mere moments ago, Myra's life had hung in the balance, and he couldn't bear the thought of losing her.

"I will kill that person!" Xendar echoed his sentiments, his fury burning just as fiercely. He had resolved not to waste a single moment in exacting vengeance upon whoever was behind the accident that could have cost Myra her life.

Meanwhile, Myra sat silently, her worry for Diego palpable. She couldn't help but be concerned for someone who had selflessly saved her life, putting his own at risk. Her principles and upbringing taught her not to disregard or dismiss genuine concern and emotions.

And at this moment, her heart began to accept what it had been slowly realizing—Diego's feelings for her were genuine, sincere, and undeniable.

"King," a guard called out, capturing the attention of both Myra and Diego. Their focus shifted to the guard, who was dragging two frightened children, no older than 7 or 8 years old.

"They caused the piece of wood to fall," the guard explained. Myra was taken aback by the revelation, but as she looked at the scared faces of the homeless children, she couldn't muster any anger towards them. However, someone else had already decided their fate.

Myra's gaze turned to Diego, and for a moment, she felt a pang of worry seeing the sheer anger in his eyes. The golden hue that only she could witness signalled his intense rage.
