"Not anymore..." Myra mumbled through a mouthful of food, "I can't eat anymore." Myra pouted at Diego, shaking her head at the spoonful he held out for her.

"No tantrums, moon. The doctor strictly said you need enough meals." Diego warned her, his voice firm yet gentle, "Both you and our baby need it."

He brought the spoon closer again. Myra narrowed her eyes at him, still pouting. She knew full well that this doctor was none other than her husband.

Diego controlled his laughter at the sight of her sulking. She looked irresistibly adorable. But he forced himself to stay composed. If he lost his strict act now, Myra wouldn't eat; he wouldn't let that happen.

Myra continued to glare at him, thinking that her glare would make him back off, like it had been happening for the last few days.

"Don't glare at me, moon." Diego told her with a light smile on his face, "It doesn't scare me. It just makes me want to kiss you." Diego stated, making Myra's eyes widen in shock at the audacity.

"Shameless." Myra huffed, turning away and clutching the pillow in her lap tightly as if it were a shield. She sat there silently for several minutes, waiting for Diego to react.

Waiting for him to coax her, to make her talk to him again. However, what happened next caught her off guard.

From the corner of her eyes, Myra saw him putting the plate on the side table. With a quiet sigh, he rose from the sofa.

A confused expression came on Myra's face, but she remained still in her position. Then she watched as Diego walked past her toward the door.

Myra's eyes widened as Diego opened it and stepped out, closing it behind him. Myra continued to stare at the door with a mouth slightly open in disbelief.

Did he just leave me like this?

The thought crossed her mind, intensifying her irritation into full-blown anger.

"Fine, then. I don't want to talk to him either." Myra mumbled, huffing angrily. Her gaze dropped to the floor, where her bunny hopped toward her.

He usually stayed in their room, but whenever Diego was around Myra, he kept himself hidden, as if instinctively sensing the disdain of that mighty lion who still hates him even after so many months of being with him.

She bent down and scooped him up into her arms. "Right, my bunny?" Myra asked her bunny, who looked at her with its cute, innocent eyes.

"He should be the one coaxing me, not the other way around," Myra declared as if stating a universal truth. "I'm the one who's pregnant here. Why is he acting like the moody one? He should be treating me well."

She set her bunny on the pillow and stroked its soft fur; her thoughts lingered stubbornly on Diego, confident that he would come soon and coax her.

Inside her bedroom, she sat with her bunny, playing with him, feeding him little snacks, waiting for him. The afternoon sun had risen in the sky now.

Their lives have settled back into a comfortable routine, filled with peace, laughter, romance, and on occasions, Myra's pregnancy-fueled tantrums.

Since conceiving, she had started to dislike certain things she had previously enjoyed.

But the biggest change had come in the soon-to-be father, Diego Xendar King.

He has become damn protective of her, so much so that, at times, it drives her a little mad. He'd rearranged his entire work schedule just to be there for her, making sure they shared breakfast and dinner every day, often feeding her with his own hands.
