Last night was an unusual experience for everyone. It seemed to be the longest night of their lives, and they anxiously waited for it to end. Diego, sitting outside the bedroom with his back against the door, appeared troubled and sleep-deprived.

He was reluctant to let Myra discover the painful truth about his past, which had deprived her of something important. Aware that this truth could drive her away from himself, Diego sought to conceal it from her. Unfortunately, it eventually came to light.

The previous night, Myra, without allowing him a chance to explain, retreated to her room and locked herself in. Diego knocked on the door endlessly, pleading for her to let him in, but she remained inside, unwilling to open up.

Despite the urge to break down the door, he refrained and opted to give her space. Recognizing the shocking nature of the news, he stopped knocking and sat outside the door throughout the night.

An overwhelming fear gripped Diego as he considered the possibility of Myra not forgiving him for his actions involving her father. He worried about the possibility of her leaving him.

With a possessive tone, Xendar growled in his mind, "Even if she despises us, she will remain by our side for life. She has no option. I cannot bear the thought of being separated from her." Diego remained silent, unable to deny his feelings.

For the first time, he regretted a decision he had made, regretting the day he chose not to ensure Oscar's safety or seek his help. His trance was disrupted by a clicking sound from the door, prompting him to rise from the floor. To his relief, Myra emerged from the room. Despite his yearning to embrace her, he restrained himself, recognizing the hurt etched on her face.

"Moon," Diego softly uttered her name as he cautiously approached, only to be halted by her words.

"Did... Did you really... kill my father, Diego?" Myra's hoarse voice and pained eyes suggested she had been crying. She struggled to come to terms with the fact that the person she loved was responsible for her father's death.

Diego was silent for a moment, gazing into her eyes. He felt a pang of regret as he witnessed the look of betrayal in her eyes. Myra's subsequent firm question shattered his thoughts.

"Tell me, Diego! Did you kill my dad?" Myra's louder and more desperate tone intensified the emotional turmoil. Tears pooled in her eyes, and Diego bore the responsibility for her anguish.

"I never intended to, but... yes, I did..." Diego confessed with deep regret, mustering the courage to look her in the eyes.

Myra faltered as she absorbed this revelation, prompting Diego to step forward and support her. Tears flowed down her cheeks as she grappled with the truth.

"What did he do to you, Diego, that you killed him? What did he do?" Myra's tearful inquiry elicited more tears, and though Diego held her protectively, she did not reciprocate.

"He did nothing, my moon. Nothing," Diego confessed with a grieving tone, holding her tightly as if afraid of losing her forever, his mind returning to that fateful night...
