In the dimly lit room, an air of tension hung heavy as a mysterious figure and a man dressed in the attire of a guard stood in silence. The rhythmic tapping of the figure's shoe echoed through the room, an indication of their impatience, awaiting a call that promised something desirable. Finally, the call came.
"Are you prepared to kill her?" the figure asked directly, their voice filled with an air of menace. On the other end of the call, a voice confidently responded, "Yes, boss, she is my target now." The mysterious person stared intently at the phone on the table, set to speaker mode, with a dark and determined gaze.
"She must not go back her home alive," the figure commanded the person on the line. The order was met with determined confidence. The call continued, the anticipation building until the sound of a gunshot pierced the silence.
"Boss, her mother is obstructing the line of sight," came the report from the sniper. Frustration welled up within the person, who clenched their fist tightly, unwilling to tolerate any hurdles to their plan.
"Can you kill them both with a single shot?" the person asked the sniper, seeking a swift resolution. The sniper affirmed their ability by saying yes.
"Kill them both. No witnesses necessary." In return, the boss ordered the sniper. The person eagerly awaited the sound of the shot, their desire to see Myra's lifeless body growing stronger.
Attempts had been made on Myra's life before—a malfunctioning stage truss on the annual function of the college, a large wooden object thrown with intent, even a staged car accident—but each time, Diego had come to her rescue like a knight in shining armour.
However, this time, Diego was nowhere to be found. Today was the day the person longed to witness Myra's demise. And today, Diego was absent, unable to save her.
You'll be dead today, Myra...
Meanwhile, on the outskirts of the city, nestled among the woods, a chilly lake reflected the light of the full moon. Floating in its waters was the body of a powerful and masculine figure, his bare skin illuminated by the moon's glow. However, this was no lifeless corpse.
Diego, afflicted by his beastly instincts and insatiable hunger on this fateful night, sought refuge in the cold embrace of the lake. It provided some solace, offering a slight salvation from the overwhelming urge to hunt that consumed him during the full moon.
"Beast King," a voice reverberated within Diego's mind, causing him to snap awake in a fit of rage. He had expressly forbidden any contact from his guards on this night.
"How dare you defy my orders! Who dares to disturb me?" Xendar growled with unbridled anger, yet Diego managed to maintain his composure. The full moon had always exerted a profound influence over his inner beast, giving rise to the untameable Xendar.
"I apologize, Beast King, but a sniper is targeting Miss Myra," one of his guards informed him. Diego recognized the guard as the omega wolf he had assigned to protect Myra.
"What?!" Diego rose to his feet in the pool, his senses heightened by the alarming news. "Yes, King. Miss Myra is the sniper's target," the guard reiterated, prompting a surge of fury to course through Diego's veins.
"How dare someone threatens my Myra!" Diego's thoughts seethed with righteous anger. Determined to protect his beloved at all costs, he bellowed, "Find that bastard!"
Transforming into his beastly form, fueled not only by the moon's effects on his control but also by the enhanced powers granted to him on this night, Diego sprinted toward the city, his heart set on revenge.
