"My name is Myra King. I'm graduate in Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Botany..." Myra started her introduction after passing her resume to the two interviewers sitting in front of her. The interview passed normally, and Myra gave confident answers to each question she was asked.

For the last week, Myra has been applying for jobs in different companies, without any help from her husband. Oh, she did not even tell Diego before applying for the jobs, and he only knew that today as she was leaving for the walk-in interview at a company.

He was furious at first but did not say a word. He just informed her that he would come to pick her up. His tone showed his anger as well, and that's why she just agreed to his demand.

After the interview was done, everyone was informed that they would get replies from them soon and were told to leave for today. Myra got up from her chair taking her back and started leaving the place.

"So, how was your interview?" A guy came beside her as she was climbing down the stairs. She recalled that he had sat beside her in the waiting lobby.

"It was good." Myra replied to him politely having no intention to continue the conversation.

"Can we exchange numbers?" Myra gave him a surprised look as he suddenly said it. "If you're free, let's have lunch together." Myra was even more surprised by the guy's straightforwardness in asking her out during the first meeting.

"No, thank you. I'm not available for any of that." Myra declined him and started to walk away from there, only to be halted by the same guy as he came in front of her stopping her in the mid way.

"But, why not?" Now, Myra was getting irritated seeing the guy insisting so much. She looked up at the guy with a fierce glare in her eyes.

"Because I said so. And if the girl says no, then you must back off." Myra's voice was stern and cold as she told the guy glaring at him. She was shocked at his audacity, to directly ask a girl out on the first meet, and she especially did not like his act to stand in her way like this.

"But you should at least give it a chance," the guy stated, and Myra's glare hardened at his words.

"And you just lost your last chance to save yourself." Myra was about to respond, but a familiar dark voice interrupted her mid-sentence, catching her attention. She turned to see her husband approaching with heavy steps, his eyes burning with jealousy and rage.

At that moment, memories of Diego beating up Alan in her shop out of jealousy and possessiveness flooded Myra's mind. She sensed that this foolish man might face the same fate as Alan.

Before Myra could do anything to stop him, Diego strode forward and landed a powerful punch on the guy, earning a pained grunt as blood spewed from his mouth.

Diego's entire body trembled with fury, his mind replaying how this man had looked at his moon with a desperate gaze. Jealousy burned in his chest, and his thoughts twisted into gruesome, murderous ways to punish the guy.

Amidst the firestorm in his heart, a small, nagging fear lingered—that someone else might come close to his moon, especially given the current state of their relationship, where Myra seemed unwilling to accept Diego if he was indeed her father's killer.

The thought clenched his heart painfully. He could endure her hatred as long as she was with him, but the idea of someone else occupying her heart was unbearable. Her heart belonged to him alone, whether through love or... hatred.

"It's better to lock her up in our room before all this happens," Xendar's calm voice echoed in Diego's mind, though the psychotic intensity behind it was bone-chilling. Diego's anger flared even more, his fists clenched tightly as he glared at the unconscious man on the ground.
