JASPER'S POV
I've never been on a date before. It wasn't exactly a necessity when I banged chicks and left them. Cindy never complained about not going on a date. So, I never had to go on a date. Ezra planning a romantic outing makes me want to throw up. I'm nervous that it'll be too lovey dovey and full of mushy feelings. Please, no candles and rose petals. God, please. I'll literally walk out the door. I look in the mirror and observe my reflection. I hope I'm dressed for the occasion because I've opted for a casual look. A simple shirt and jeans. There's a knock at my door. I look at my phone. It's four on the dot. Ezra is punctual today. I walk over and open the front door. There stands my boyfriend in his leather jacket and black everything with his hands behind his back. His black hair falling over his eyes as usual. He's got a smile on his face.
"What's behind your back??" I questioned. He reveals a single rose in his hand.
"I couldn't resist. Don't be mad." He said. I grab the rose and try not to beat him with it.
"You romantic sappy motherfucker." I grin. He laughs.
"Grab your jacket and let's go." He said. I jog to my bedroom, place the flower down on my nightstand, grab my jacket and head out.
Ezra starts up his bike and I cling to him from behind. Not my first time but I definitely don't want to die. Not that I'm afraid. Just being precautious. Plus, I like feeling up my boyfriend. That's not a secret. A few moments later, after being on the road for what seemed like forever, we arrived to a spot in the middle of the woods.
"You're not going to murder me, right?? Because this seems a lot like a place you'd murder someone." I joked. We hopped off the motorcycle.
"Ha, Ha. Very funny. I'm not going to murder you." He said. "Yet."
"Alright. Seriously, though, what are we doing out here??"
Ezra grabs my hand and starts walking off to some unknown destination.
"I know you hate romantic shit. So, I didn't plan a fancy dinner or setup a room full of candles. I did something better. Something you'll like." He  guides me to a picnic blanket with a basket, in the middle of nowhere. Brilliant.
"Romantic picnic in the middle of nowhere??" I said. Ezra smiles like he knows something that I don't.
"No. Well, there are sandwiches but that's for later. You know, after we get hungry after shooting each other with paintball guns." He says casually, as he takes out two paint ball guns. I smile. If there is anything my father taught me, it's how to aim and shoot. This is going to be fun.
"You want me to chase you around and shoot you with paint??" I laugh. I'm totally excited. Best date ever. I grab the gun.
"Ready??" Ezra smiles, armed with his paintball gun.
"Start running, Baby." He quickly takes off. I let him get some distance before I start running after him. He disappears behind some trees and now I have to find him. I'm trying to listen for any sound that indicates he's close. Suddenly, I get hit with paint on my thigh.
"Son of bitch!! That hurts!!" I groan.
I quickly get over the sting and aim for Ezra's body. I miss my shot. So, I start running after him. When I think I'm close enough, I shoot again. This time I got him. Right on his butt.
"Damn, you got me." He said. He stops running. I walk up to him and pretend to aim again. Trying to muster my most threatening stance. He drops his gun and raises his hands in surrender. A smile playing on his lips.
"Give up??" I say, pointing my gun to his dick.
"Whoa. Let's play nice, babe. You got me."
I drop my paintball gun and grab the back of his neck, kissing him hard. All playfulness gone, as I push him against a tree and begin to kiss his neck. Leaving behind my mark. He moans. Which makes me smirk. I pull away.
His brown eyes heavy with lust. I would have had my way with him right here but I know he wouldn't let me. He cares too much about what my doctor has to say. Which makes no sense to me because I can run, climb and exert energy just fine.
"So, sandwiches??"
"Yeah, sandwiches." We pickup the guns and head back to the blanket. Great date, indeed.
                           EZRA'S POV
It's been a week since the date with Jasper. It's also been a week since Liam drunkenly kissed me. I can't let more time go by, without talking to Liam. It's not right. He needs to know that it can never happen again.
"Guess what?!" Jasper said, as he barges into my room. Something exciting must have happened.
"What??"
"I got a new job! Emmie helped me get a job as a bartender for weddings. Also, we can finally have sex because I finally have the ok."
I get up from my bed and hug him. I don't love the friendship he has with Emilia but I can appreciate and respect a good friend helping out. He's finally going to be getting back to normal.
"Congratulations. That's great news, Jas."
I pull away and try to smile. I don't think it worked because he quickly frowned.
"What's wrong?? You don't seem excited." He said.
It's not that I'm not excited. It's that I have to deal with Liam and it's making me feel guilty that Jasper doesn't know what's going on. He would just freak out and there's nothing to freak out about. Not really.
"I'm excited. I am. I just have some things to deal with and it's stressing me out." That's not a lie. It's just not the whole truth.
"Oh. Well, maybe I can take your mind off it." He said seductively. I want to have sex with Jasper but not while I'm feeling guilty about Liam. So, I think of something he'll say 'no' to.
"Alright but I top this time." He looks kind of shocked.
"But you never top, E."
"Exactly. I always bottom but this time I want to top you. What do you say??"
He walks pass me and sits on my bed. I follow and sit next to him. I hold his hand and intertwine our fingers. He's quiet like he's actually thinking about it.
"I can't believe I'm about to say this but sure, we can try it out. Just not right now. I forgot that I have to go meet up with Emmie." He said. Firstly, what?? Secondly, I can't believe he actually agreed to this.
"Ok. That's fine. I have to head out soon anyway. So, meet up back at your place later??" He smiles and gives me a quick kiss on the lips.
"Ok, I'll see you later." He said and then he left.
As soon as he did, I texted Liam to meet me at the coffee shop to talk. He agreed.
So, now I'm on my way there.
When I arrive, I spot him sitting at a table in the back. He waves me over.
"Hey, I haven't heard from you in a week. What gives??" He said. Does he not remember what happened?? I sit across from him.
"Sorry, Liam. I've been busy with Jasper." I said. He looks at me like he smells bullshit.
"Or maybe you were mad at me for something."
"I wasn't mad at you. Why would I be mad at you??" He looks down at the table and drums his fingers.
"Maybe because I kissed you." He said, as he looks up at me.
"I wasn't mad that you kissed me, Liam. I was confused and completely caught off guard. Please, tell me you were just drunk." He doesn't answer. Instead, he gets up from his seat with the excuse of buying us some coffee. Which only leads me to believe that it wasn't a drunken mistake and now I don't know what to do. When he sits back down, he hands me a cup. I sip on the coffee. It actually is helping.
"You're right. I was absolutely drunk and I wasn't thinking. It won't happen again." He said. He sips his coffee.
"If we're going to be friends, it can never happen again."
Liam smiles and looks to the side then back at me. "Are we good now?? Can we just hang out??"
I chuckle feeling relieved.
"Yeah, we're good. How has your week been??" I said.
"I had to visit my therapist and work has been kicking my ass but overall, not bad. My mom told me to thank you for getting me home safe. She was pissed off with me even though I'm 23 and pay all the bills." He traces the edge of his cup with his finger. I drink my coffee.
"I keep forgetting how young you are. I'm five years older than you." He smiles like I said something funny. It's then that I notice his hazel eyes have little specks of green. His long hair braided back.
"You act like you're 80. You aren't that much older than me."
"You have pretty eyes." I said stupidly.
His face turns red and he stays quiet.
"What?? It's true. I just noticed. My eyes are a shitty brown. You're lucky." I added. Just then my phone started vibrating in my pocket. I pull it out and see that Jasper is calling me.
"Hello"
"Hey, Baby. I just wanted to know what time I should meet up with you later."
"Why?? Miss me already??" I smirk, even though he can't see it through the phone. Jasper chuckles.
"No. Not even a little bit." He said. In the background I could hear Emilia saying something but I couldn't hear what.
"You sound busy, babe."
"I kinda am. Emmie can't drive to save her life. So I'm busy trying not to die—That was a stop sign you just ignored!! Oh my god. Pull over, I'm driving.—Hello?? Babe??"
"Yeah, I'm here. Just text me when you're free and we'll meet up then, Jas."
I look up towards Liam. He looks bored and impatient. I feel kinda bad.
"Ok. I'll talk to you later, E." The phone call ends. I put my phone back into my pocket. I sip on my coffee. Yuck, it's cold.
"So, what are your plans for today??" Liam asks. My eyes look up into his hazel ones.
"I'm supposed to meet up with Jasper later. Whenever he's done hanging out with his friend, Emilia. Otherwise, I'm totally free."
He raises an eyebrow at the sound of that.
"She's way too attractive to just be his friend. How do you trust him with her??"
"Are you implying my boyfriend can't keep his dick in his pants??"
Liam's face falls. Taken aback by my tone.
"Um, no. I was just saying...she's just...um, nothing. Forget it."
I stood up from my seat with every intention to leave.
"Alright. Well, I'm heading out. See you later, Liam."
"Don't be like that. I'm sorry. Don't leave."
He gets up from his seat. His eyes begging me to stay but I don't care. I leave, anyway.
