Hocus Pocus

Cleo's POV
I walked into their kitchen, to get something to eat, but there was nothing, I walked over to Kim and saw she had ate all the cereal up.

"What? I'm going through a growth spurt" she said, seeing as how I was looking at her with a glare, I walked over to the cabinet which was empty.

"Dad, where's all the food" I asked him leaning my head on the counter door seeing nothing in the cabinet either "it's not there? Didn't we just go shopping?" He said, as I picked up a jar, that had nothing in it "that was two weeks ago" Kim said.

I sighed, and rolled my eyes "wait, no, it was three" Kim corrected herself "Dad, what are we supposed to have for breakfast" I walked over to him, as he looked in the counters.

"Fruit, full of fiber" he said picking up the last apple "dad, this can't keep happening" I specifically told him "never used to happen when mom was here" Kim whispered, not looking at us, I looked at her in disbelief.

"I'm sorry, girls, I'll get better at this I promise" he sat down the apple, and held both of his hands up, walking away in disappointment "nice one" I walked over to Kim "what?" She looked up at me confused.

"Dad's, having a tough enough time without you bringing mom into it" I jerked away the cereal box, and rolled my eyes at my dumb sister.

Leah's POV
The girls, and I sat down on the grass, at school talking, till we saw Lewis, and Reed come up to us.

"I have found the best thing ever, it is going to rewrite mermaid history as you know" the girls and I looked at each other confused on where this was leading on "actually no it is mermaid history" he kept going on.

"What are you on about, Lewis?" I said, so I won't be confused anymore, "this" he held up a book and threw it in front us "a fairytale book?" Emma said sarcastically.

Lewis sat down in front us, while Reed sat besides me, I gave him a warm smile, and he offered one back "a mermaid mythology book" Lewis corrected Emma.

"Published in 1908, limited print, founded in the net" he pointed his finger on the book, I glanced at Reed, as he rolled his eyes, and I chuckled at him "it's priceless, and it's totally legit" he said,

"It's a kids book" Rikki said over the bell, as it rang for class "no, it's a mermaid manual" Lewis whined seeing as we weren't listening "right, with um, pop up illustrations, and an color ink section" Rikki flipped the pages on the book, I snickered at Rikki seeing as there was pictures inside.

"Of course it looks like a kids book, but that's just the font, how else could they get this stuff published?" Lewis closed the book almost smashing Rikki's hands "Lewis, you got ripped off, again" Reed said, as he gathered his stuff.

"Here, I'll help you" Reed took my books for me as I smiled at him "thanks" I put my bag on, watching him carry my books as we walked off.

Cleo's POV
When the girls, and Reed left, I looked over at Lewis who looked down, I crawled over to him, and grabbed the book looking at it "what do you think?" He asked, while I flipped through the book.

"It's got that dank, dusty smell, I guess that's something" I joked, and smiled at him "there's more, there's a whole section on magical powers, controlling them, and enhancing them, getting new ones" he listed on what the book could do.

"Wish giving?" I stopped and looked at the recipe for that "yeah, yeah, yeah, it's a potion, it gives you the power to grant a wish. Pretty cool, huh?" He came closer to me, as I smiled up at him.

"Yeah. Cool" I agreed with him.

I bit my lip, having the best idea.

Leah's POV
I sipped on my drink, that Reed had offered to buy me, I denied at first, but of course Reed never gives up, so here I am sitting down laughing at his jokes, till I looked over to see Cleo, and Lewis.
