In Over Our Heads

Rikki's POV

I walked along side of the beach, and stopped in my tracks when I saw Zane.

"You are going to love this." He pointed at me, while he ran towards me throwing himself down on the sand, digging in his book bag.

"Ok, so, what's the big surprise?" I asked following him, but standing up with my hands in my pocket. "Check it out." He pulled out a piece of paper that had a nice looking yacht, very rich, I'd say.

"Nice yacht. Thinking of buying it or stealing it?" I questioned, on why he was showing me this. "Neither. It was caught in a storm of the coast a few weeks ago." He shook his head, digging in his bag again.

"So?" I said wanting more information on why he was telling me this. "The people got off, but they lost everything on board. Including this." He took out another piece of paper, and it had this hold ancient thing that looked like a lot of money.

"I think Emma's, Mums got one of these." I said tilting my head, at the ugly thing. "I doubt it. This one is a genuine Tibetan antique. Worth a fortune." He pointed it out.

"Laying at the bottom of the ocean it's not." I said crossing my arms, over my legs. "Exactly. And there's a award for who ever can find it." He told me, licked my teeth, and looked away from him.

"Why do I get the feeling this is a set up?" I turned my head back to him.

He looked at me, with nothing to say. I got up and dusted myself off.

"I'm not searching the ocean for a garden ornament for your yard." I through up my hands, and walked away from him, before he yelled out to me "well, think about it!" I ignored him, and kept walking.

Leah's POV

Emma, Cleo, and I all sat in the living room, the girls where painting their toes, and nails, while I sat besides Emma, drinking some juice, and reading a magazine.

"This color looks really good on you." I heard Cleo complement Emma on the color of her nails. "It looks way better on you, you've got a deeper complexion." Emma also commented on her skin.

"Knock, knock." I heard Lewis come in.

"Hey, guys." Reed also walked in with Lewis behind him, I rolled my eyes at the two boys, and kept drinking my juice, and reading my magazine.

"Come right in." Emma also rolled her eyes.

"Thanks." Lewis said, Cleo and I looked at each other with an deep sigh. "Hi, Leah." Reed greeted me.

"Hi." I said not looking at him, and continued to read. "Hey, Cleo." Lewis also greeted Cleo. "Hi." Cleo said in a high pitched forced voice.

"Well, I'm glad you three are here, where's my sister?" Reed clasped his hands together looking around for Rikki, where she is no where to be seen.

"Don't know why?" Emma said, still painting her nails, we all continued to do our own stuff while ignoring the two boys who already looked fed up with our actions.

"We wanted to tell you guys, you know even though things have changed you can still trust us." Lewis stated.

"Trust you-you guys?" I chuckled, and pointed at them.

"Even though both of you guys are going out with Charlotte and Lola." Emma finished for me, while I nodded in agreement.

"We're not going out with Charlotte or Lola, we are all just um-um we are-" Reed looked over at Lewis for help, putting his hands on his hips. "We are just I don't know companions." Lewis nodded his head at Reed.
