“Hi.”, Ashton greets Stacey at the library and she’s there with Annie.
“Hi.”, she replies and Annie starts to feel uncomfortable with his presence.
“Hi Annie.”, Ashton then greets her too.
“Hi.”, she replies. He takes his seat besides Stacey.
“What are you guys doing?”, he asks.
“We’re doing biology task. What about you? Already finish it?”
Annie keeps herself silent.
“No. I’m still working on it. Would you mind if I join you both?”, Ashton asks.
“Okay.”, Stacey answers while Annie nods.
“How about doing the task at my house after school?”, Ashton suggests.
“That’s okay. We’ll do it at my house.”, Stacey replies. It’s because Annie still not used with Ashton. She also knows that Annie feels uncomfortable right now.
“Okay then. What time?”
“At two.”
“Okay. I gotta go. See you both at two.”, he stands and starting to take paces. He waves his hand before leaving and both of them do the same too.
Annie has changed her mind of her making trouble. When Stacey asked why, she said she will not get any benefit from making trouble.
“So, you coming?”, Stacey asks and Annie responds by nodding.
“Make yourself comfortable with him. He’s friendly.”, she continues.
“I know that.”
“If you both being friends, you’ll get the chance to know that Shawn, your crush!”, she teasing as she nudges her with her elbow then gives her a laugh when Annie’s expression changed. Annie’s blushing and that’s cute.
Shawn is one of Ashton’s friends. He’s perfect and good looking with his brunet hair and hazel eyes. He’s taller than Ashton too.
“He’s your crush too.”, Annie says.
“No. I just admire him. But if I come to be his girlfriend, what will you do? Are you gonna kill me?”
“I’m not crazy enough to do such thing. He’s not my real crush anyway.”
“Oh, really?”, Stacey responds with a disbelief looks on her face. Annie nods.
“You already apply for university?”, Annie asks, changing the topics.
“Not yet. You?”, she replies.
“Yeah. I’m going to take pharmacology.”
“Wow! You’re going to be pharmacist?”
“Don’t be modest. You’re better than me.”
“Don’t say that. We’re just the same. So, which university did you apply?”
“Just around here in Dublin.”
“You’re not thinking of studying overseas?”, Stacey continues questioning her.
“No. I don’t want to be apart from my family. What about you? You told me you wanted to study in Australia.”, Annie says and she gives her a nod.
“Why Australia?”, Annie asks.
“Well, I think it’s a beautiful place. The only country that have kangaroos.”, she replies as she chuckles. Annie nods after knowing the reasons.
