Chapter 17

Living as university student is hard especially a medical student like her. There are so many tasks given by the lecturers. Her life is not like when she was in high school which she still had time to relax or doing something she likes. She often cries because of the pressure of study. She will call her parents in the late of night to complain about it. Sometimes, she calls them while she was crying and regains her strength after hearing her parents' words like 'Daddy was like that too back in the university' or 'You can do it!'. She wonders, how could her daddy go through this all? No wonder her daddy is always be her superhero. But after a while, she getting used to her life as a university student.

Now Stacey realized that it is hard for her to live apart from her family. She regretted that she chose to study abroad in this very young age but she tries to take it positively. All this time, she depends on her parents and because of that, she can't even fill the important forms but now maybe she should teach herself to be independent. Or perhaps, she can find her true self or discover what true life are if she's away from them as long as she knows what is good or bad for herself.

Stacey now lives in the rented house with its owner, Kylie Brooks. Kylie is a 23 years old entrepreneur. She was kind and treated Stacey as her own sister. According to Kylie, she has a brother but now he is in Melbourne, studying. He is an engineer to be. Their parents died in a car crash 2 years ago and she is the one who has to take care of her family business. Also, Kylie has lived in that house since she was a child and of course, the house got so much memory about their parents.

By looking at the house, she can tell that Kylie and her family were living a simple life. The house is not a bungalow although they can afford it. Despite that, it is comfortable to live and it feels like her home in Ireland.

It's weekend! The only day that Stacey can spend her time wisely with sleeping, eating, reading, Youtube-ing or whatever she likes.

She wakes up at almost 10 in the morning. She happily gets up from her bed and opens all the windows so that the ray of sun can lights the entire room. She takes a deep breath from the fresh air. It feels refreshing and she also in a good mood today.

She then grabs her towel and heading to the bathroom as she singing. That's her habit, singing while taking a shower. After taking a shower, she wraps the towel around her body and gets out of the bathroom. It surprises her when she opens the door and sees someone is standing in front of her. The guy looks at her up and down.

"Argghhhh!!", they both scream.

"Who are you? What are you doing here?", Stacey says as she jumps to her bed and get in the blanket, covering her body.

"I'm the one who should ask you that.", the guy replies hardly.

"Ugh, can you please get out first?", she says but the guy stares at her with empty look. Stacey thinks she had met this guy before but she doesn't remember.

"Hello! Can you get out from this room first? I will tell you after I put my clothes on.", oh gosh! He is so annoying. He still with his empty look but then he leaves the room. Stacey gets up from the bed as she nagging and still with her nags while she puts her clothes on. After wearing her clothes, she takes her phone. There's a message from Kylie.

Kylie: Sis, my brother will come home today but I haven't told him about you yet. Have a nice day with him. Hope you can be friend with him.

Oh, is that her brother? Great, she will be with that guy in this house alone. Kylie is away for her business in a few days. Ok, this is awkward! The guy seems not so friendly. Gosh, how can she live with a stranger?

Christian Brooks came home at almost 10 a.m. His sister Kylie said she is away for a few days. When he came in the house, he heard someone's singing upstairs. He went to the extra bedroom where the voice came from and could clearly hear that it was a girl's voice. It must be his sister, he thought. But his sister was away for business. Plus, his sister couldn't sing because her voice is too bad when she sings but that voice was nice to hear.

Then, the door opened and a girl with only towel wrapped around her body came out. The first thing that came to mind was 'She's beautiful'. She got dark and long straight hair, a round big brown eyes, beautiful skin and... hot body?

"Arrrrgghhhh!", the girl screamed that surprised him and made him to scream with her.

"Who are you? What are you doing here?", the girl said and jumped to the bed.

"I'm the one who should ask you that.", he replied. He's the owner of this house and this girl coming from nowhere, asking such a nonsense question?

"Ugh, can you please get out first?", the girl said uncomfortably when he stared at her. Well, she was worth to stare anyway.

"Hello! Can you get out from this room first? I will tell you after I put my clothes on.", the girl waved her hand at him.

Realized that he was staring at her, he got off his eyes on her and got out from the room. He went downstairs and lied on the sofa at the living room. He was tired driving from Melbourne. He closed his eyes and fell asleep.
