Chapter 28

They reach at the restaurant where they will take their dinner, the place is perfectly facing on the Sydney Opera House.

"We're here!", Christian says excitedly as they reach at the table which is in the middle. The place is decorated beautifully with candles, flowers and she doesn't know what else they are. All she knows is, Christian is weird today and she realizes that there are no costumers, only them. Don't tell her Christian had rented this whole place. Is he trying to flirt with her?

"Where did the other costumers go?"

"I don't know. It's just us, huh? Don't you think it's weird?", he says in curiosity. Stacey looks at him in suspicious look.

"Sit down.", he pulls a chair for her and she takes a seat. Is he trying to be romantic? Stacey looks at Christian in astonishment as he takes a seat in front of her.

"Why are you doing all this?"

"Huh?"

"You being weird, Chris."

"Me? I think I'm just like the usual me."

"Really? I think you're not."

He doesn't respond but smirks. Then he starts to look around, he's looking for the waiter perhaps. It's weird, she doesn't see any waiters or waitresses since they entered the place.

"Wait here, I have to go to the restroom.", Stacey nods at him.

"Hurry up, okay.", she says and he nods at her.

Stacey glances at her watch. It's already 20 minutes since Christian went to the restroom. What is he doing there? Is he building a toilet or something? Then come a waiter with a tray of foods on his hands. She can't focus on his face because she's worried about Christian who went to the toilet and never come back until now. She throws her view outside the restaurant as the waiter serves the foods.

She realizes that the waiter is just standing beside her after serving the foods. She looks at his face, he's smiling and she gives her smile back to him then the smile immediately fade when the waiter's face looks familiar to her.

Ashton?

"What are you doing here?", she asks in surprise. Ashton is still with his smile on his face.

"As you see, I'm a waiter here.", he shrugs. She realizes that he's not wearing a waiter suit, he looked like the usual Ashton.

"Oh.", she throws her view back at the scenery outside the restaurant. Ashton takes a seat in front of her where Christian sat before without her permission.

"That's Christian's place.", she tells him as she looks at him uncomfortably.

"Yeah, I know.", he nods.

"Then why are you sitting right there?", she scowls.

"Because I want to.", he answers calmly and that annoys her. How could he be calm after what he did to her?

Stacey glances back at her watch. Ugh! Christian, hurry please! Her phone which is in her hand rings all of a sudden, the ringtone indicates that it just received a message. She reads the message, it is from Christian.

Christian: I will be there after you two finished. Just tell him the truth, Jane. Good luck! ♡

What the heck?! Christian already ran away? And what's up with the heart? She then receives another message from Christian.

Christian: I told you to dress up beautifully.

Oh my gosh! She places her hand on her forehead and she looks like she got a headache. She really is having a headache because of Christian! That naughty Christian! She knew he is in this, so this is also the reason behind his weirdness today?

'You're done when I got home', the inner of her says.

"Are you okay?", Ashton asks in concern. He stands and goes to her then touches her shoulder which makes her surprise and puts her hand down from her forehead. She hates it when he acts like he cares about her but actually he's not.

"Yeah.", she says as she stands up.

"Where are you going?"

"I want to go home.", she answers coldly.

"Already?", she doesn't replies him but start to walk away. Ashton stops her by grabbing her wrist.

"What do you want, Ash? Isn't it enough for you?", she looks at him with her teary eyes.

"I want you.", he places his hand on her face.

"I've been loving you for a long time, Stacey and I cannot bear to keep this feeling from you anymore. No matter how hard I tried to forget you, it's always been you who I truly love. I'm done seeing you act lovey-dovey with Christian because that hurts me, I don't want to be a liar by admitting someone else's girl as my girlfriend because I actually wanted you to be mine and it is enough for me to be scolded by Annie because I've hurt you. I don't wanna see you hurt and I don't wanna be hurt just because both of us won't admit that we actually love each other.", he tells her clearly and precisely. This time he told her the truth deep from in his heart. The tears fall down from her cheeks lastly. Did she heard him wrong? Is she standing in the world of reality? Is this reality?

"Oh!", he says as he just remembered something. "I'd cross the world for you too, you know."

"Oh, Ash.", she chuckles in her cry, then she hugs him. Now, she cries again because of Ashton but this time she cries because she's happy. He really did love her.

"What? You don't want to confess?", Ashton says.

They're still hugging each other.

"Do I really have to confess?", oh boy! That would be embarrassing!

"Of course! It's not fair if it was just me!", Ashton loosen the hug to see her face. Her face is red, blushing. He chuckles as he touches her cheek, she's cute.

"I had loved you in such a long time too, Ash. There's no one else I had loved but you, it's you and always you.", she looks at his eyes.

"It's you, Ash.", she tells him again. He smiles, now he really heard the word that he really wanted to hear from her own mouth. He nears his face to her and places his lips on hers.

They kiss for a long time underneath the bulb light. Bulb light is okay though.
