1. Falling

I reached the hanger on the wall as I took my jacket out of it. With one last look at my apartment checking if everything is ok, I left and closed the door behind me.

"Ugh, I hate rain" I said as soon as I stepped outside in front of the building, measuring the distance between me and my car parked on the other side of the street "F- you Mr. Chu for parking in my spot" I cussed my neighbor out loud looking at the rain pouring furiously from above. With a deep breath I ran out in the street covering my head with my backpack to protect myself from getting too wet, as I cussed at myself as well for not getting an umbrella with me.

I reached the door and opened it fast almost breaking it as I shoved myself in my seat. I started the engine and drove away in the cold night, not forgetting to turn on my tunes. I have quite a few hours to drive from Seoul to Busan in this weather.

Half an hour later and a lot of cursing the skies out loud for this awful rain, I reached the road in the forest, avoiding the highway as my dad suggested. Not that it was a smart choice, but I just got my drivers license and my dad thinks I'll play racings on the street.

"Yes mom, I know I should've left home earlier but it was so busy back at the studio and San asked me if I can help him close" I sighed narrowing my eyes at the road ahead.

"That boy takes advantage of your kindness dear" Her voice was barely audible from the phone speaker.

"Yeah, yeah. But the paycheck is too good mom, and I like working at his dance studio even though it's tiring. I'll be there in no time-WHAT THE FUCK?!"
I didn't got the chance to finish my sentence as I yelled out loud, stepping on the break as fast as I could, my car almost running out of the road in the process.

"What? Sweetheart what's wrong? Are you ok?" I heard my mother panicking as I narrowed my eyes at the sight in front of my eyes.

"Mom, I'm ok. I'll call you back, there's-uhm-a tree fell on the street blocking my way. I'll call for help"
With that I hung up the call not even allowing her to answer me back as I stopped the engine and gripped the steering wheel tight. I breathed in and out a couple of times, leaving the ignition on so that the lights can light up the dark and cold street and I slowly opened my door, stepping out in the rain.

My feet dragged me in the middle of the road next to it. A man was laying flat on his chest, the droplets of water falling from above soaking in his clothes making his pearl white shirt see through as it was sticking to his back. I approached him, slowly bending down. His blonde hair was covering his eyes as drops of water were lazily dripping on his face.

"Please don't be dead, please don't be dead" I said to myself as I touched his shoulder with trembling hands, shaking him slowly "Sir? Are you ok?" I asked but no answer in return "Hey! Wake up!" I slapped his face as I started panicking. He didn't even flinch.

"Oh this is bad, this is so so bad" I ran back to my car taking my phone in my trembling hands as I called the emergency number, a lady answering right away
"Hello, I need an ambulance or police or I don't even know, Jesus itself if possible, right away! I think I found a dead body!" My breath started increasing its pace faster and faster with each second passing by.

"Miss I need you to calm down and talk coherently" The lady on the other line said while I was pulling my hair out in despair.
"Don't tell me to calm down madame. Someone's dead on the street right in front of my...eyes" I turned around signaling with my hand forward as if she could see me or the body. Body that was not there anymore. I retracted my hand, letting it fall loose next to my body as drops of rain were fogging my vision. Am I going insane?

"Jia"

I dropped my phone on the ground as I turned around. He was on his feet. In front of me. Staring at me.

"Jia" He said again and I felt myself struck by a chill, like a lightening flashing the sky. I panicked and my first response was to punch him and get the hell out of there. I speed drove forward, exiting the forest on the first road I saw, checking my mirrors every two seconds making sure he's not following me.

"Not today Satan, not today!" I almost laughed at myself and how crazy I sound, but let's face it, everyone would do the same if they were in my shoes. Right?

Who is he? And how does he know my name?

I really hope this ff will catch people's eyes and heart because right now I'm speaking to no one in particular, but just like Jia I'm used to talking alone ahahaha *cries in pillow*.
