With him dressed up now and everything settled, well, almost, we made our way to my car parked outside. I started the engine and speed drove on the street. I have a few hours to drive and I better come up with an explanation for this stranger I'm about to appear with in my parents house.

"Slow down!" He whined gripping the door handle tight, squinting his eyes "Father, I'm gonna die" He said faking a cry out loud

"Shut up! I can't focus if you keep whining like that. And for heaven's sake put your seatbelt on!" I growled at him rolling my eyes in distress "Asshole"

"Listen, I've never been in a car before, ok?" He breathed in and out buckling his seatbelt puffing his cheeks with air, as he started beating the rhythm on his knees with his fingers "I'm going to throw up soon" He clasped a hand over his mouth

"Not in my car, I swear-" I sighed annoyed "You don't have things like this, you know-" I pointed with my finger up to the ceiling "Up there?"
"No" He widened his eyes at me laughing hysterically as if I said the funniest joke to ever exist.

"Well excuse you-I don't even know if I should believe you or not actually. All I know is that you're a stranger, an extremely handsome one I might add-" I winked at him before focusing my attention at the road again "And you have some weird fingers that tingle and do things I've never seen before"

"You have no idea" He tilted his head in my direction smirking as I chocked on air. Another laugh escaped his mouth as a rose blush creeped its way up my cheeks. I turned the AC on looking at anything but at him, suddenly stepping on the break with all my strength, stopping the car in place, earning myself a few concerned looks from him. I looked left and right in the mirrors before backing up just a little bit, taking the side road leading to the forest.

"This road leads to where I found you, maybe we can find something there-" I turned my face to him slightly narrowing my eyes "You haven't told me how you ended up here"

"Ah, right. There's not much to tell actually. I was play fighting with my younger brother and he pushed me trough a portal" He shrugged his shoulders casually
"He pushed you? Through a portal?" I questioned back
"That's what I said, isn't it?" He chuckled "You know, for someone as pretty as you, you're actually-uhm how should I put this, not so smart?" He quirked a brow at me while my jaw was wide open.

"Damn you!" I gasped annoyed slapping his arm angrily and repeatedly "You know what? Why don't you find someone smarter to help you? I'll drop your ass right where I found you and go my own way, asshole!" I scoffed under my breath tightening my grip on the steering wheel.

One thing about me, people always think I'm stupid. I might be peculiar yes, I might be weird yes, I might not fit in most of the time, but I'm not stupid. Ever since I was a child I've been made fun off for my behavior, later on for my style, because honestly when you see a teenager appear at school with short flaming red hair and a pierced eyebrow over night, you might think that person lost its mind. When in fact I always liked to experience new styles, new things, a reason why I kept my red hair, only that now it's cut to my shoulder length and straight most of the time. I should never be what I'm not just because people find me strange anyway.

I might be loud and obnoxious, I know that myself, but stupid is what I'm not, and even though most of the time I don't give two shits to what people think about me, observations like this really get to my heart sometimes. He seemed to notice my behavior shift as a deep crease formed in between my eyebrows and I kept biting the inside of my cheek, avoiding him.

"Jia" He cleared his throat placing his hand on my shoulder. I shook it of instantly "It was a joke Jia, I didn't mean it. I know you're not stupid, I've seen you ever since you were a child and I know you're a smart and kind girl. I'm sorry" His voice was gentle and genuine yet I couldn't help but feel angered. I stayed silent as we passed the spot where I found him last night.

"But-" He turned around in his seat looking over his shoulder outside, and back at me confused "This is where-"
"Shut it!" I hissed at him driving forward.

I do not want to deal with it right now, or with him, or with anything in particular. All I know is that my parents are waiting for me. My parents, the only people that never thought I'm stupid and loved me no matter how many headaches I caused them over the years. I know I'm petty holding on anger, but that's the way I am. I can't brush away my feelings just like that, no matter how his face turned to me, checking me, or how his hand seemed to want to comfort me multiple times but he ended up retracting it, fidgeting in his seat during the whole drive.

We arrived in the familiar city after four hours of driving, hours in which he haven't exchanged a single word. My anger was slowly fading away by now, but my ego didn't want to give up so easily. Stopping at a red light near my neighborhood, I started beating the rhythm on the steering wheel with my fingers, looking outside. Contemplating. That until my eyes widened and I realized.

"EVER SINCE I WAS A CHILD?" I yelled out loud turning to face him as he flinched covering his ears.
"What?" He looked back at me confused
"You said you watched me ever since I was a child, what do you mean by that?"

The light turned green while the car from behind kept honking at me to drive, yet I couldn't move a single inch of my body as I kept staring at him dumbfounded.

"Well, yeah. I-uhm, we angels have the ability to watch over people, and well, I watched over you a couple of times...most of the time actually" He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly flashing me his pearly white smile yet again.

"I'm gonna kill you!" I growled at him driving away feeling myself burning up, ready to explode.
