It was the gunshots that woke me up in the morning, instead of my alarm. Sliding out of bed, I went over to the door that connected Agent White's room to mine and opened it, only to run straight into Agent White, causing him to start to fall backward. He grabbed my arm to steady himself and only succeeded in bringing me down on top of him. By the time we got ourselves untangled, we were both laughing and trying to get up. I made it up and pulled Agent White up as well. Brushing a hair from his eye, I chuckled "I've only known you for roughly 2 weeks, and yep it seems that I have known you forever" Agent White smiled and nodded "Same". Our chatting was interrupted by several more gunshots coming from the floor below us. I groaned "Don't they know people are trying to sleep, it's 6 in the morning!" Agent White laughed and shrugged "This is the normal training time for agents" I gasped "Does that mean I'm late?" Agent White laughed again "No silly, I would have awakened you up if we had training today"

I nodded "What about the floors lower than 5? Won't they hear the gunshots and become suspicious, I mean, this building has to have a cover-up...right?"

"This building doubles as an electronic manufacturer, the stuff they sell doubles as funding for our missions"

"Wow! Smart, I'm guessing it pulls in pretty good funds then?"

"This building does pretty well, but this building alone is barely enough to cover the costs of 4 missions"

"You have others?"

"Of course! All around the city. But I don't know the exact locations, that information is held back from Agents for security reasons, I only know the location of the base I'm a part of"

"Oh...that makes sense"

"And to answer your question, the 5th and 6th floors have a sound barrier between them, pretty cool right?"

I shrugged "I guess so, at least you're not proclaiming to everyone that you're target practicing"

A few minutes later I found myself in the practice room. It looked almost identical to the other training room I had been in, with weapons lining one wall, and targets lining the other one. Both Agent White and I snapped to attention from examining a room, when a lady came up to us. While she explained what we were going to do for the day, I began to take in her features, she was tall and slim, with short brown hair cut at her ear, light skin, and a tight suit that looked almost identical to mine. "Agent Black, have you been listening?" She asked, her thin red lips pressed together tightly, and her brown eyes showing no emotion. "Uh, sorry, what were you saying?"

"Ugh! Newbies!"

"Hey! I'm not a newbie, I've had experience!"

"Really? Well, would you like to plan out your next mission"

I took a deep breath to calm my sudden rage and tried to ask calmly "Ok, can you repeat what you said?"

"That's better! I'm agent 9, the boss told me that you two are partners?"

I nodded "Yes...?"

"Ok, good, you'll need to help each other on this upcoming mission. We are sending you to Alaska"

"Alaska!?" Both Agent White and I yelled.

"Yes, we believe a target has a home there, a hideout to get away from us"

"Who is the 'target'?" Agent White asked skeptically.

"You don't need to know his name, you'll be handed a picture of him though before you leave"

"Why is he our target, what did he do?" I asked, taking the package she handed.

"He was involved in a deal that fell through after he found out who he was in the deal with. In that package is everything you're going to need for the mission, weapons, money, and communication devices"

"Thank you, uh...when are we going to be leaving?" I asked, handing the box to Agent White.

"Tomorrow, so go to your room and makes sure you have everything packed" With that, Agent 9 spun on her heels and walked to the back room to check on the problem.

I turned to Agent White "TOMORROW!? Seriously?" Agent White laughed "Don't worry, you'll get used to moving around constantly" "Not likely"

The next day was mockingly clear and cheerful, being the exact opposite of my mood. As Agent White and I took to the skies, Agent White turned to me with a cheeky smile that made me even more annoyed than I already was. "Why are you looking at me like that?" I demanded, only to be met with a bigger smile "You look so cute when you're annoyed" I groaned and sunk further down my seat. "My point exactly Agent Black" I groaned, then sat up and looked at him threw the side of my eye "So I'm cute every time I'm around you?" "What!?... Hey!" I laughed "You know, I feel better now thank you" Now looking annoyed he grumbled "No problem" as he sat back, looking out his window. Now feeling a bit better, I did the same, watching the ground speed by underneath me.
