I sighed, looking around for the millionth time, spotting nothing. I got off the train almost 2 hours ago, and still, there was no sign of anyone here to pick me up. The sun was going down, and I finally got up to go, hoping to at least get a hotel and something to eat before it got dark. Taking off my jacket, I felt safe showing my suit as there was hardly anyone around, I just dumped it in a donation box as my suit kept me warm enough against the cool spring night. Pulling out my phone, found the nearest fast-food place and started walking, crossing my finger's that I wouldn't be out past nightfall. "Agent Black?" I didn't respond at first, then suddenly stopped short and spun around, recognizing that as the name my boss had told me they registered me as. Peering around, I almost looked over the man dressed in a black leather jacket and black leather jeans, leaning against a support for one of the buildings. "Who are you?" I asked, fully not expecting an answer "Agent Fang, you must be Agent Black, although, you haven't exactly earned the 'agent' part yet, the person we spoke with said you had, uh, good skills" "Please, I'm the best you'll have" "O'oh, you're confident? I like that. Well, I'd love to stay outside and chat with you, but the boss is not a patient man, so please, shall we go?" "The boss is going to be there?" "God's no! He's much too busy! But we do have to go now or you'll be late"

"Ok, we're here?" "Where's here?" I asked as I stepped out expectantly. All I saw was a crumbling down building in the middle of a wasted desert. Agent Fang chuckled, the wind lightly stirring his gray hair "That's what they all ask. And the answer is on a need-to-know basis. Also, don't judge this place before you've seen it all" "Who said I was judging it?" "Your eyes of course" "Right". Leading me inside, I saw that the inside was not much better than the outside. But trying to see past all the collapsed walls and trash inside, I followed the Agent to one of the back corners where there was a metal plate that looked out of place. "Of course, the training room is hidden behind a crumbling down building" "Oh the building is just a mirage," Agent Fang said. He pressed a button on his watch, and suddenly the building that was surrounding us was gone, leaving us standing in the middle of the desert next to a metal plate on a pole sticking up out of the ground. I jumped "WOAH!" When I turned back to Agent Fang he was laughing "Ah! That never gets old. Hey Agent Black, if you really wanna be the best we have, you're going to have to get used to things being fake, people that you think are your friends being enemies, and visa versa, and all this kind of stuff" "Haha, I know, don't think I don't have experience" "I know you do, and you have money" "What?" "Your suits made of the best materials, very tough" "Oh" "Which saves more work and money for us in not having to make you a suit." He pressed his hand against the metal plate, after turning the mirage back on. His hand was scanned and suddenly we were traveling down at lightning speed. The elevator quickly came to a rest at the bottom where Agent Fang had to scan his other hand this time and enter a code before the door swung open to reveal a nice-sized room with weapons on one side, a closet on another wall, and in the middle, weights and all kinds of items to get into shape with. Still leading me, Agent Fang passed all these things with only a "This is just the workout room", and led me into one of the two doors toward the back. When we went through I gasped, it had weapons and suits lining the walls, on one side, on the other side, the wall was lined with targets. I set the bag with all my stuff down in one of the lockers and sighed, smiling. "I could get used to this" Agent Fang chuckled "That's what I like to hear, let me introduce you to some of the other recruits, well, the other one. The other recruits we have are out on a training mission right now" "Ok". Turning around, Agent Fang motions to a young man on the opposite side of the room, as he came closer, Agent Fang turned to me saying "This is Agent White, he was sent here to help train the recruits. Agent White, this is Agent Black, she said she'd be the best we had" "Oh really? Well than, let's put that to the test. Here's a pistol, I want you to get as close as you can to that tiny black dot in the middle, we'll go from there" I rolled my eyes, what did they take me as, a beginner? Taking the pistol I quickly loaded it, and without taking my eyes off Agent White standing next to me, I fired 3 shots. Taking a look, I confirmed that I had hit the targets dead on, right in the middle. Agent White's mouth dropped open and he spun around to look at Agent Fang, who also looked shocked, but pleased at the same time. "Goodness, why can't we just hire her on the spot?" "Agent White, you know it doesn't work like that, she will be here training until the boss comes and gets her" "Wait, until he comes and gets me, how long is that going to take?" Agent White shrugged "I don't know, some of the guys here leave just days' after coming, then again, one guy has been here for over a year" "A year!?" "What can I say? The boss is picky. Well, I have to go back to base, I trust Agent White will take good care of you Agent Black, but for now, I must leave you. Goodbye" "Bye" Agent White and I said in unison. After he had left, Agent White turned to me, "So, where did you come from?" "What?" "You heard me, where could you have come from that made you so good, you've had a lot of training" "It's none of your beeswax" "Hey, I'm just asking. Can I know your real name?" "Hold on, I thought that wasn't revealed?" "It's against the rules to reveal your real names, but a lot of people don't follow it, half the people in the base know each other's real names" "Well, I'm not half of the people in the base. Speaking of the base, where is it?" "Why you wanna know?" "Why do you wanna know my name?" Agent White chuckled  "Ah, I see how it is. And the answer to your question will come after the boss has picked you" "Hmm, and the people just stay here until he does come?" "Yeah, it's either stay here or leave and die" "What!?" "Well, they know to much now, they could tell people where we are and do a lot of damage to our area" I nodded, barely able to breath as the seriousness of my mission exploded on me.
