Sebastian's Perceptive

The four of us tumbled to the ground of the Undercroft at once. I quickly stood to my feet looking my friends over as my blood boiled. I wasn't positive if Amelia would be able to apparate so many people without getting one of us splinched yet we were lucky that no one looked any worse than when we left. We were safe for now.

Suddenly in the safety of the castle, the events of the day all began to hit me at once. They have been working together behind my back to try to accomplish something towards finding a cure for Anne, without me, and almost got themselves killed because of it.

If Ominis hadn't been hinted at me following him that morning then they all be dead. Amelia would have been dead.

Amelia picked herself up but remained partially lying on the floor. Her once grey sweater was a dark scarlet as the blood that flowed from her neck had begun to dry in the wool. It was a miracle that she was able to move at all after the damage she had taken.

The moment her neck was cut open it felt like I was living in my nightmare except at this time I was able to save her.

Ominis struggled to push himself over to the stone pillar, dragging the unconscious Poppy with him. Poppy looked okay for the most part except for a wet spot of blood on the back of her head, explaining why she was unconscious.

Ominis looked in utter shock. His face had gone completely pale and he looked weak as if he was frozen in fear still.

But thankfully everyone was safe. Everyone was alive.

"How long were you following us?" Amelia asked, finally breaking the tension that sat thick in the air. Her blue eyes stayed fixed on the floor for concentration.

"The whole time," I confessed knowing she would be able to work out the details herself.

There was a box of potions near the wall, it looked like they had stocked up for their return, I walked around and began searching for the needed ones. There were so many different types that it angered me that they had planned so much without me noticing.

"The cat, was that your Patronus Charm?" Amelia asked quietly, her voice beginning to sound weak.

I walked back over and handed two potions to Ominis, one for him and the other for Poppy.

Before kneeling next to Amelia. Her eyes were still fixed on the floor, but she didn't hesitate when I adjusted her to see her neck.

The burn I used to seal her neck shut was turning purple as the skin was crisp around the original wound. Thick clots of blood were stuck to her skin and clothing as they began to harden. The potion I picked wouldn't be enough. She was going to need more help besides whatever potions they stocked up on.

"You are lucky I was there," I reminded her with the indirect answer, "I didn't even know I could do the Patronus Charm frankly. They were just going to let the Dementor kill you if I didn't cast the spell. And what the hell were you even thinking?" I growled as the events of the day rushed back, "Exactly what the hell were all of you thinking? How long how the two of you been going behind my back with this stupid plan? None of this makes any sense to me. You all would have been dead if I didn't follow you."
